I actually think it was the lowest crowd for pack the barn but it seemed the least promoted also. To be fair there was definately over 2000 tho. No way could you have squeezed another 12/1300

Yeah that's what I mean does the rink not hold 3000? Can't see where you get another 1100 in on Saturday.

No way could you have squeezed another 12/1300 Think it was actually officially the biggest crowd for #packthebarn, but was less than our last crowd v Belfast 2 weeks ago! The first one this season was about 1700 v Nottingham and that included about 300 of their fans. The club really need to stop all this #packthebarn 'promotional' stuff. Every time they do it, it gets less attention and what does it really amount to? A game where they're asking fans to bring other fans and constantly tell us "hey it's pack the barn this week!" To be fair, the club is trying every week to promote the team and try new wee gimmicks like prize give-aways etc., but if you want to give a night a label you can't just keep doing the same thing- change it to 'ladies night', 'fan appreciation night'etc., and it might have the desired effect.

Kids go Free night really packs the barns. Most EPL clubs do it, when Swindon do it, you need to get tickets the week before, it's actually officially packed! It's a proper money spinner. We took 2 extra families with us last month, and they all bought foam fingers, hats, 2 kids bought tops they enjoyed it so much, and they've been back 3 times since.
That's a better promotion, and it's nothing against what we do, but it's a genuine promotion. If folks feel like they're getting something, they turn up. I know this has been mentioned before, and there a feeling that why should they, because it just means folks going, who would normally pay, get in free, and yes, that true, but it's a very short sighted approach to it.
Swindon do 1 a month, most clubs do at least 2 or 3 a year in the EPL, I think it would be a winner at Fife.
There was also folks saying it wasn't fair on Season ticket holders, again, easy fixed. Plan it in advance, and either a) adjust the kids season ticket price so it takes account of this or b) all season ticket holders (kids I mean), when if they come to the kids go free get a voucher to spend in the shop or something, or c) they get the option of a voucher, but don't need to take it if they're happy that they paid and the money goes to the club anyway.
Either way, it's a sure way to pack the rink, and bring along potentially the next generation of Flyers fans

The thing is with that aswell is that if you ran a kids under 12 go free. They're going to need to be taken with an adult so there's where the money comes aswell. It's not costing the club anything to let kids under a certain age in for free and if it's new kids then you'll make the money from the cafe etc. not saying every week but even once a month let's kids in for free, end of the day the more people in the building, the better.

The biggest issue you will encounter is the word FREE, that would be a definite no no.

Speculate to Accumulate :-)
But I agree, I suspect Free may be the issue.
Even Kids for a Quid, I've seen that before.
But so short sighted if they don't see the benefit of it.
