Agree that we sat back in the third but we pushed on a bit and got the 4th goal and had a bit of momentum and looked like we might see it home until Lukacevic's stupid penalty. Momentum shifted and they equalised. God knows how he got MOM. I thought the officials were decent a couple of softish calls but they were consistent. Not often we have 42 shots and lose. We gave Coventry four points in the first two games because of our lack of preseason which might come back and bite us. I think it is between us and Edinburgh for 8th.

Sloppy defending the last couple min cost us the game tonight after coming back from 2 down to take the lead , HUll 4th goal guy skated past Wands as if he was not there he should have been kept out on the boards but was allowed to cut in right across front of Regan n poke it in 5th goal less than a min to go and we play a pass along the back of our own goal straight to hull player he knocks it back in front then boom goal no way back with less than min left Game was there for the taking after 2nd period but we never showed up the third, was Bobby even playin waste of a jersey just now contributes hee haw the last few weeks ,to many off weeks needs a wee spell on the bench or a rocket up his ers

When you've got guys staying up until half 2 in the morning tweeting. Your never going to be able to bring your A game. To be fair, it must be hard to get to sleep with the adrenaline pumping through your system after a game like Saturday nights.

played great in the second, i feel if we had come out in the first half of third and kept going at them we might have been able to go 2 up but instead we let them dictate and they made us pay in the final 8 mins

Unlucky ending roll on Saturday I don't think it was unlucky. They looked like they wanted it more as the 3rd closed out and piled the pressure on as we sat back.

I have complied stats for every game this season using Excel (yes I know I'm sad but in my defence it only takes 5 mins a game) and our shots and goals in period three are considerably less than in periods 1 and 2 and this is exaggerated away from home. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to work out that this is either lack of fitness or riding the first two lines too much because of lack of depth. We were very poor on the first 8 mins in the third period at Hull but after we scored the fourth we seemed to find a second wind until Lucacevic' stupid penalty. After that we looked dead on our feet. IMO we have never been fit enough all season, and badly need a conditioning coach together with some off ice discipline.
As an aside I was at Hull for the first time and whilst it is a small arena, the view of the ice, the DJ, the music and the sound quality are absolutely fantastic. Best in the Elite League IMO. I would happily go there every week. Hull also have some great skaters Lauzon and Hervato are great to watch, they lack a bit in physicality as a team, but are a very skillful team that play entertaining hockey.

Yeah I used to go to Hull to see the Flyers last couple of seasons when I was working down there, took some co-workers once, the night Tommy Muir gubbed the guy, they loved the game and really enjoyed the DJ and the thumping music that he played. Rinks to small though and, at least for Flyers games where you could count the away support on one hand, poorly attended. Sparse crowd doesn't make for much of an atmosphere.
