Wouldn't of been able to score without any sticks after Roehl had sold them all... A minor misdemeanour and only a rumour probably best bit of 'business' he has ever done, as it has resulted in his 'move' to Braehead producing silverware and probably more money. Last laugh definitely for him I'm afraid. p.s. Who was buying, allegedly? Selling to a few of the recci guys.

I also sat in a clan section behind our bench on first visit, and heard some right guff from a few around me. Apparently us Fifers don't know what a power play looked like, then Fleming fired in a beauty, and Regan is not a good penalty shot keeper and their boy was going to get an easy goal, and well Regan done what he has all season, oh and they just hated Fifers (few sweary words omitted) pride before a fall and all that. And we think our dj is bad, I wish I had a gun their announcer did all of our heads in too much cheese.
For the game we actually thought Flyers had a good middle part of the game from middle of the 1st. Really good forechecking at times, but silly mistakes, poor penalties at pivitol times, and the fight, knocked the whole team off their game. Danny had poor game, and just does not pass to his line mates, and when they get it they only look for him or dump it, then don't chase it and don't hit?!!
And how many clear chances did we have, plenty, just didn't take them, which kept all the momentum with clan.
Totally wrong mix this year. Too much skill no grit, Not sure if it's coaching, confidence, character, drinking, who knows, but bring on next season. Even if we did progress all way to finals weekend, this surely could not mask the torturous season we have had. Similar to all the seasons so far in Elite, no consistency.

Watched the fight again. Thought Nicker done better than I first thought. Looks like a slip from Fitz at the end but watching it again on a big screen it looks as Nicker lands a short left and puts Fitz down. Fitz early, Nicker late. Draw. You can tell at the end of the Fight that neither of them were happy with outcome Matt got the take down in the end with the short left. Matt wont back down from anybody looked like he slipped a couple of times but got straight back in to it. Nobody else in League would do this Don't think he is 100% recovered from Injury. Fitzgerald not claiming he won as he knows he was put down, cant believe our own fans saying Matt lost Last game of regular season Matt needs to do same in FIA, were missing Kyle Horne

Yeah if you watch it again Matt defo catches him with a cheeky wee left to take him down at the end. Never saw that on the twitter clip I saw or live at the game.

I enjoyed going to Braehead last season This season went once only as you knew what the outcome was going to be Its a hard to bare place to get beat. Hopefully next season we will get the team balanced a bit better Big Matt with a Jason Pitton or a Salters type along with the skill and pace of a few that we have just now. Brit wise as I said elsewhere the head needs to over rule the heart when recruiting for next season

Hated doing it but couldn't take any more. Won't be going if we make the playoffs. I hate seeing us run over which is what has happened most of this season against Brahead.

Yeah poor record against Clan this season
Played P8 W2 L6 For 21 Against 30
Last 5 games, we have lost them all, 15 periods of hockey, 1 period won 10 periods lost, most goals in a game 2.
They've got our number this year.

Nope, heard he only came back this year because of the club standing by him through his suspensions last year

I think Matt is great and would be sad to see him go. But guys that can fight and play at a decent level are readily available throughout the hockey world so he could be replaced. Just hope they they realise that they need to go for the more physical approach next season.

I have only spoken with Matt once in his first season right after he was suspended for the Lord incident. Seems like a decent guy and happy to get involved with the fans young and old always gives you time of day. From what I hear Matt and his Wife are happy in Kirkcaldy. He is 30 now so how many seasons do you have left at EIHL standard. Matt would more or less get a place on any of the team rosters Flyers should have him signed for next season as he is a fans favourite puts bums on seats and he can Enforce and play great heads up hockey player that can pick out a pass The other thing there's not one game v Clan that Salters has got involved with Matt and visa versa. It would be good to see Matt and Salters on our Roster next season. Salters has upped his game in second half of the season and will be on many coaches shopping list at the end of the season. We can dream

Only way we would land him is if Braehead for some strange reason didn't want him back, but even then he could land himself a bigger better club than us quite easily

No showboating from him. No playing to the crowd the way Nickerson does. He just skates away to the box. Always has, always will. The fight itself happened around 20 seconds in so no way was Nickerson knackered when he took the fight on. Fitz

Madras you need to take your tinted glasses off and see the facts (and that's with the aid of the clubs own video) as you clearly can't see through the purple haze. Matt loses his balance a couple of times and the majority of Fitzgeralds hits come as he is getting back to his feet, the fight finishes when Matt catches him with a short left jab and Fitzy as you call him is clearly knocked over and lands first on the ice. Being less biased i would say a draw was the right result but fair play to both guys for stepping up, i'm sure Zach would have been pretty apprehensive at taking Matt on after a comprehensive defeat at Kirkcaldy earlier in the season. Now as for big Smith trying to be the hard man well we have seen him being easily slaughtered before and on one occasion jumping on Matts back (when still on the ground)at the end of another fight.........he couldn't go 3 rounds with a revolving door.
