This game should have been my birthday night out, thankfully the OH woke up in a terrible mood so we decided not to go. This time last year we were beating clan 6-2. The guys are playing a sloppy game and don't look as fit as they should be, aren't a couple of them professional fitness coaches back home? I think we're going to be chasing for 8th spot again this season but looking at the games towards the end that's going to be a struggle unless something changes now.

Last night for me the blame lies at some of the players doors Fox an Stockton were they even playing and Paquet continues to make mistakes Dorr looked rusty to be expected, the end quality wasn't there last night The lines are having to be changed due to Injuries were Wands and Horne even on for a shift? A few changes needed the work effort is there its putting the puck away it didn't go in last night Lukacevic will be getting gassed from Coventry soon do we bring him back? He made a difference on his first stint with us, the guys we have do the bit he is lazy with. Coventry are actively looking for new players but Weber is saying there is nothing much out there at present at EIHL club affordability

Wasn't at the game but one thing from the story in the press, Todd spoke about players bring to loose against the caps last week and not really sticking to the team plan, then (according to reviews of this game) it's back to no hitting and dump and chase.
It sounds like Todd has made the team revert back to the style of play from a few weeks back, basically his system which everybody can see doesn't work.
Is that a fair reflection on last night or should the players take the blame for this one?
Paquet for me has been poor for sometime now, tries to handled the puck far to much first pass is average at best and he is not physical at all. I think a wee change for a true physical defenceman would help us out. With Haines and Rioux we don't need another puck mover it's a big body we require.

Jeez, that interview like all the rest shows you how far off the pace he is, clueless.

I think you might be right Zamboni. There's just no stand out player in our team, nobody who gets the crowd up out of their seats, for all his faults, and there are a few in my book, we could really do with somebody like Ned because we are as dull as dishwater. Can anyone see this team not in the bottom two when things pan out?
Oh and for the gritty team we were promised, we're about the least gritty in the league, we're more like talcy.

Speaking as a person who was a fitness instructor for 15yrs I rekon that the guys are being over trained this season. If they were lacking fitness they would tire in the 3rd however they looked sluggish from the start with no jump. I know they stepped up the training this year and there is a fine line between doing too much and doing it just right.
