Owen has faced more shots than any other goalie. Including last night he has faced 1641 shots in 49 games. We have been over working him the entire season.
We can score but our systems are garbage for our defence and Owen.
If we win tonight Clan win the conference!

Thanks for great updates stirling especially as you must be feeling the frustration that most on here feel at the Flyers performances. Now Stars home and away??? four points or zero or something in between? Anybody's guess.

The unforgivable sin for me is still persevering with isaacs up front when it's clear he adds no value there. He should be gassed or play in defence. Couldn't imagine many other teams in the league running like that for so long. It's not the main problem by any means but surely that should've been sort before the deadline. Basic stuff

Yeah it is Stars need to win every game to tie clan on points but clan are miles ahead on regulation wins. We are in the same boat win all our games we can tie on points but not enough regulation wins. One more win for the clan and it's a clear points lead. We have nothing left to play for other than a playoff spot which shouldn't really be an issue. 2 wins in the last 8 isn't great though. 2 losses to the Stars this weekend and we might just need to look over our shoulders a little.

Scrape a win tomorrow, and all will be well again, Fife Flyers, Sponsored by Polyfilla #paperthosecracks Feel for the likes of Owen and Dingle. Owen I think is having either a physical, or mental burn out at the moment, peppered all year, and lets be honest, the last 4 games or so, (Belfast excluded) why wasn't Douglas put in goal. Games were gone, it gives Owen a break, and it gives Douglas some needed ice time. Alas, now just playing for Pride, and to avoid Clan in the PO, assuming we get there. And what do we get to look forward too.....Groundhog Season next year again, same old Laat night was the perfect chance to show some professional pride, go out and compete and try to beat a team we have struggled against all season. Well there was none of that last night. Majority of players looked like they were playing their last game of the season and already thinking about the beach. Was it really that bad? I really do think its mental and physical exhaustion. Owen in particular, he looks a spent force. If I'm honest, I don't really blame the guys, they are restricted to a very narrow style of play.

Players have to take some blame this year, regardless of poor systems and coaching, you can't turn up not giving a **** half the time, like Thinel, Moyer occasionally, Fox, sisca, that's down to their attitude, you can't give them an excuse for being scared of body contact which some of them are most nights.

I'd say Friday night was worse than last night, if that helps you put it into perspective. I agree with what Swarfiga has said in that the players need to take some of the blame. In fact the performance against Clan was for me down to the players, the coach wasn't the one on the ice making basic mistakes or putting in little to no effort.

Bur if the coach does not motivate and get in there heads and give them the motivation to kick butt then they simply won't perform to the best of therr ability so there is a case to blame both
