To allow 46 shots on your goalie in a home game is really poor, the fact that it's against the team propping up the league makes it a horrendous stat.

One game weekend they said! Empty the tanks they said! Leave it all on the ice they said!
I wonder when we'll see all that happen?

Lacklustre is being kind. First period was scrappy and 1-1 was about right. Flyers came out flat in the second, scored against the run of play and spent the rest of the period giving the puck away. Much of the same in the third. Only seemed to waken up in the last few minutes. Caps deserved their win. They looked as if they wanted the win, while once again Flyers had much more passengers than workers. Very few successes tonight. Owen had some excellent saves but was left exposed again and again. Wands and Muir looked steady and Smith didn't look out of place in his few shifts. No atmosphere yet again in the rink. The crowd was flat and well over half of the home support bailed out as soon as the empty netter was scored. Yet another disappointing frustrating night.

The crowd do go flat because we have watched the same c*** hockey all season, yeah there is the odd game when it's decent but that's not enough.
Caps simply out worked us all night.
Sitting watching the rangers canadiens game and there has been more hits in the first minute than I saw all night at FIA. Hockey is a physical game or at least it's meant to be. Owen hit in the head and 4 guys in blue do nothing. Utter embarrassment they should go home now.

Todd in his post match interview saying the same nonsense as every other season.
He did speak about the second period shots and having not given up that many since our first season.... except we did it in Belfast last weekend.
