Well done to Clan getting 4th spot in League Our 3rd game in three nights Including a trip to Belfast 5 imports missing from our line up it was always going to be a tall order The second period killed the game when Bulmer got his marching orders Must admit it looked like a Clan player took Connlley out not Bulmer No doubt it will be reviewed The Clan are a poor side at present you can see why the went 7-0 and Fitzgerald continues to be a liability for the team surely it’s time for him to retire they needed a 5 minute pp to beat us with half a team Now that we have Panthers home on Saturday and away Sunday The big question is what team are we going to have. This week will be all about getting players rested and charged up and see who we can get back in line up

Enjoyed the first period although neither team made many chances. The game changed with Bulmer getting thrown out for kneeing. Looked like a coming together with three players colliding and Connolly coming off worst. The refs let play go on for about 25 seconds before stopping the play and didn’t look as if they were going to call anything. Refs got into their customary huddle having been yelled at by several Clan players before kicking Bulmer out. Two powerplay goals by Clan finished the game in real terms and despite a further three goals it had the look of an end of season game. Flyers powerplays, all four of them were woeful once again. Nice finish from Buesa to make it1-3, but not much else troubled Clan goalie. Good home crowd got behind the team until the third then got quiet as it became evident that we weren’t likely to pull it back. Decent performances from Pinkston and Isaacs and the shifts that Buesa, Smith and Cochrane had makes me wonder why they spend so much time on the bench. Last moan of the regular season. Who thought it was a good idea to only print 80 commemorative anniversary programmes to put on sale for the fans to buy?

No idea if there's any truth behind it but apparently whatever happened to Connolly is a potential career-ender.

Clan just edged it tonight, can’t fault the effort of the players, in the end our inability to capitalise on the PP killed us whereas Clan scored twice on what was effectively a 3 minute PP. Craig Moore was outstanding tonight and we should make it a priority to have him in our line up next season. On to the Nottingham double header next week and we badly need a few bodies back if we are to overcome a physical Panthers side.

Clan just had a bit more quality in front of both nets, I actually thought Isaacs had a shocker, was on for 3 of their goals out of position. What’s everyone’s view on the Bulmer hit? It was right in front of us and we thought it was just a clean hard hit (however it was at pace), if it’s kneeing then fair enough but how can the ref let the game go for 30 seconds, only stop the play because of the injury and then just decide to give that penalty out, if Connolly got up they wouldn’t have made a call, absolutely laughable refereeing. Surprised to see Cochrane Ice in the first and then never again! Strange from the coach.

I can only think that neither of the referees called it, a linesman did however he would have had to wait till a break in play to do so. Inconsisitent refereeing at both Flyers games at the weekend must have had their coaches pulling their hair out and it centred around one man.

Just seen the highlights, hard to say about the knee, as Todd said though his knee doesn’t motion towards Connolly even if it does make contact, looks a right sore 1 in slow motion.

Connolly seems to change direction at the last minute and that takes him onto Bulmers leg. Don't know if Bulmer could've pulled his leg away before contact is made. He seems to be skating in a straight line? Really hard to say if it was intentional or not. At real speed it all happens very very quickly.

Should have just jumped him and forced his head a couple of times on to the ice and he would only have got 2 games. What a surprise that he misses both the Nottingham games and one extra so it doesn't look suspicious.

I have to say it does look a bad one from that footage and Bulmer probably just about deserves a ban, but 3 games?? It’s funny how we get conclusive footage on this incident but the Rissling attack on Bari only shows half of what went on....go figure...and just to make matters worse, Rissling returns on Sunday from his totally inadequate 2 game ban for cross checking to the head of an opponent who is face down on the ice, then has a second pop for good measure...rough justice indeed. I see DOPeS see fit to mention the injury to Connolly caused by Bulmers hit, what about the injury to Shaber which they turned a blind eye to? Kangaroo Court.
