Feel sorry for the guys they gave there all for 6 periods of hockey with a depleted injury ravaged team
It would have been a different story with a fully fit team
2 years in a row now we have been without players on the run in
They can all hold their heads high they did us proud
Looks like it will be Panthers Giants Devils and Flames at next weeks show

Feel sorry for the guys they gave there all for 6 periods of hockey with a depleted injury ravaged team It would have been a different story with a fully fit team 2 years in a row now we have been without players on the run in They can all hold their heads high they did us proud Looks like it will be Panthers Giants Devils and Flames at next weeks show That's a brave prediction in the second period of the playoffs Glasgow and Sheffield still in it |

Huge shame. I thought we needed to get an early lead and hold out if we were going to win. As it was Dutes gambled and lost at the end. There will be many critics of him doing it so early but go big or go home and he has gelled this team in the final months. Was very proud of they way they played last night through injury and adversity.
I never got the whole Pesky Flyers bit but we have certainly been a huge pain in the #### to the establishment this year and fully deserve the title.
Right now onto months of not hearing anything. Made worse because a Saturday night without the Flyers isn't a Saturday night.

That's a brave prediction in the second period of the playoffs Glasgow and Sheffield still in it Sheffield score 2 goals in quick succession and are now 8-7 in front on aggregate ….. but I will not predict who will go to Nottingham yet ! Great game of playoff hockey  2 goals for Cardiff in quick succession and they now lead 9-8 Still will not predict who goes to Nottingham !!! lol |

Another hard working performance from Flyers but they were running on fumes by the end of the first. Panthers just about deserved their win but Flyers gave everything they had without managing to trouble the keeper too much. Cazzola and Gauthier were the Flyers best players I thought but no shame in losing considering the shortages and injuries in the team. Left wondering what the difference would have been with Pinkston, Schaber and Bulmer in the line up.
Can’t see Panthers beating Cardiff though next weekend.

Hockey can be cruel at times and last night was a prime example.
Panthers get a PP early on absolutely undeserved as the supposed offender had a foot in the door, they score right at the death of the 2 minutes and that is it until 2 x ENG's seal the deal.
In between the Flyers more than held their own and although Panthers thought they had won the Stanley Cup they were mighty relieved when they got the first empty netter because they were on the ropes at the time.
Fantastic effort by all in an end to end game and let there be no doubt that a full squad wuold have taken the result over the two games no problem.
As a gripe i would say the officiating down in the lace city was not always fair, 2 blatant occasions Panthers had 7 men on the ice were overlooked even when Flyers fans loudly gave them a clue, apart from that they did not have much else to do.
Roll on next season.
