Even strength goal a power play goal a short handed goal and an empty net goal tonight Guys cut themselves a break tonight Best team won Dundee had plenty chances on the pp but their goL scorers were kept at bay tonight We need to see a lot more of this hard work for rest of season Bari and Jordon got regular shifts also Good to see Schaber looking like we know what he can do

I honestly don’t know how Dundee didn’t win that game. They were the better team throughout for me. They simply couldn’t get the puck in the net. The hockey gods finally gave Flyers a win. Two pretty poor teams in display with mistakes from both sides. Some of our play was terrible in our own zone. Goat and Schaber had very good games as did Bari when he got a shift. Both him and Buesa are criminally under used. Jamieson rode the pine all night? So much for giving these guys regular ice time. At least the rot stops at 14 losses.

Good win with a long awaited 60 minute effort. Dundee looked sharper in the first initially but 1-1 was probably fair after 20 minutes, with Just getting Flyers goal. A smartly taken powerplay goal from Schaber, who looked a completely different player from last week, saw Flyers go in 2-1 up after two. The third was anyone’s game until Schaber scored a short handed goal in a lovely move with Paul Crowder. Stars pulled the excellent Leclerc and P Crowder capitalised on a mistake to score an empty netter for a good 4-1 win. Great performance from Morrison and fine efforts from Gauthier, Cazzola Isaacs McKenzie and Buesa. Not perfect but a good hard working win is always welcomed.

Thank goodness the rot has stopped . It was a much more enjoyable game tonight as we appeared to be a lot more interested tonight for some reason . Even Paul Crowder finishing some hits. Also a lot better passing tonight , not perfect but a definite improvement .... we may not even qualify for the play offs with this team but tonight was a much better performance , with good effort. The Brits can hold their own , Bari was very good tonight and Buesa also did well as back up when allowed to ice.

I think Fife just deserved the win, there was not much in it, neither team dominated, both goalies were very solid, Morrison definitely gave us a chance to win. It's essentially however the same old same old from us, at some point the puck was going to drop for us, it did tonight, it could also tomorrow. No doubts a winning team with glaring issues is however a tad more forgiving.

In recent weeks we have found ways to lose, last night we found a way to win and I thought it was easy.
Easy why? Effort. Hard work won that and I would put that down to Bari and Jordan. In previous weeks teams breaking on us would be 3 on 2 and remain so as our forwards glide back. Last night I counted at least 3 times where Jordan busted a gut getting back and covered. Especially in the part of the game near the end of the first start of the 2nd where it was end to end.
Bari even made Just look good. He did all the spade work allowing Just to get on with playing - and last night he showed he can!
Thought Morrison was brilliant. Issacs was his normal dependable self. I dont know why he isn't more of a fans favourite. He delivers every night. Emmerdahl is a must return next season. Very tidy player.
Good game management too. With 6 skaters I was never worried - neither was their empty net with at least 3 wayward shots on it mind!
The intensity has been there in recent weeks but never for 60 minutes. Last night it was and a large part was thanks to Bari and Jordan. Play them far more Todd, they fair brought on the imports.

Lets face it Bari & Jordan got a lot more shifts last night to try and take some of the heat away from the coaching staff for Tuesdays showdown, guess what though as stated on this forum too many times to mention... give the Brits a better chance and allow the imports to be stronger...longer, less injuries and heaven forbid a chance to win a game. Downside was young Jamieson was still on the pine all night and that is not right.
On the game itself...... for once in a very long time we saw all the imports put effort in for a whole game not just the usual 5 or 6 guys. That was a major blow to Dundee whose many fans make no mistake came down to gloat ....well they were sent homewards tae think again ...... hopefully the Library they were singing about is now CLOSED.

Goat Cazzola are pretty much the only two imports that I would take back.

Some numbers.
Of course we know the streak was ended - I guess you can say that is our worst in the EIHL in terms of points gained over the 14 games.
Dundee were going for the sweep in Kirkcaldy this season, having won their previous 3 - that's the Flyers worst run at home against Dundee in the EIHL era.
How precious is having a lead going into the 3rd period ? Well from the 15 times we have led at that point - 12 wins, compare that to the 21 times we have been behind and the big fat 0 wins and only 2 wins from 11 times we've been tied - it's huge.
Schaber leads the team on GWG with 4 - Finucci 2nd with 3
During the streak we were 2 for 44 (4.5%) on the PP and 46 for 60 (76.6%) on the PK - special teams last night was a key part of the win.
That was our 5th ENG (given up 14) and or 2nd SHG (given up 5)
