Clan's first two goals were flukes - the first a complete mi**** and the second was simply outrageous.
Them's the breaks.

Enough is enough, flyers should just fold, the only interest is making money, the team come second un their thoughts

A decent enough game to end a pretty frustrating season, but another defeat. A beyond lucky goal gave Clan the lead, but two nice goals, the first a redirection in front from Anderson and the second a great piece of skill from Carter put Flyers in 2-1 up.
Clan looked stronger in the second, particularly towards the end of the period, where Flyers looked shattered, but really didn’t create too much. No goals in the second.
Three Clan goals in 2.14 at the start of the third, the first one the wildest deflection off Isaacs I think into the net, seemed to knock Flyers confidence, but slowly they got back into the game and Carter’s second of the night, another thing of beauty made the last 5 minutes interesting. Despite pulling Owen, Flyers couldn’t draw level and Clan took the points. Good to see Flyers fans giving the team a good send off despite a disappointing season overall.
Shane Owen received the FFP Mirror of Merit award, which comes as no surprise. It would have been good to follow this award all season in the paper, but the individual game awards were only published for about a third of the games played as the standard of coverage in the FFP of Flyers continues to decline.
Most disappointing part of the night was the half hearted “tribute” to Todd. A hurried announcement with less than 11 minutes to go, when really this could have been planned so much better and done at the 11 minute mark. Maybe it can be done better, when Todd reaches his 25 years anniversary with Flyers in 2024, since he came here in early 1999.
