Cracking first period. End to end hockey and 30 shots on target. Not a lot between the teams and Flyers working hard to get in front. As entertaining a period as I’ve seen in a long time.
Sheffield had the better of the second period but both goalies did what they’re paid for.
The third was fairly even and Flyers deserved at least a point from their efforts tonight.
Overtime was fairly even too and saw something I’d never seen before when Flyers pulled Owen with two seconds left for the extra skater. Flyers could have won it but a brave block from Phillips made sure it went to penalties.
Only D Lawrence scored for Flyers and Steelers got two, so only one point won.
No complaints about the work rate or commitment from Flyers.
Only one gripe and that was the problems with the operation of the clock once again. Needs sorting out.
