First period was poor from Flyers once again. A goal down in less than 2 minutes, Devils well on top and they got a second near the end to make it 2-0. The second was a bit better with Kivilahti pulling one back on the powerplay but lost a third about 90 seconds later. The second period seemed to take forever to complete, but Flyers competed better than in the first. Flyers finally came out skating and passing in the third and got one back with just less than ten minutes to go. Laakkonen roofed the puck from close in and Gerrie equalised on the powerplay with just over three minutes left. A soft elbows penalty on Sandstrom with eight seconds remaining meant Flyers would start overtime short handed. Cardiff had more possession in overtime and it looked like it was headed to penalties until Sandford got the winner for Devils with 10.1 seconds left. Will gladly take the point. Didn’t look like we were going to get one for long enough. Yet again Flyers didn’t play like they can for the full game. Need to beat Nottingham next week for sure.

Very good 3rd period performance but I'm still in shock that we would go for a line change with 10 seconds to go in OT (or any period for that matter) when the opposition have the puck in neutral ice. Terrible way to throw away a potentially vital 2nd point.

Jeff didn’t take responsibility during the post match interview, Todd is missing in action with any responsibility whatsoever so it must have been the players fault

That definitely was the players fault just misjudged that that was the time to change, nothing to do with 10 seconds left, just a poor decision. Only human I suppose.

Great to get a point from this game but the game we really wanted the points from was the previous night v Clan. Handing them a playoff place at this rate. If they can't turn up for these games what is the point?

Tbh having been at Clan game they looked knackered. Has there not been a bug went through the team. Only a few looked like they were capable of coping with the ice time. And when you are tired that's when mistakes get made. Plus the refs were as bad as I've seen them. It's that old word again, depth, and the lack of it.
