Sounds like one of these penalties where someone should have stuck up for Casey and given Limpwright a paggering

Drawing blood isn't an injury if it's accidental. Casey being put out of the game with head injuries is, however. If he doesn't return for the 2nd i'd be pushing for Darnell to upgrade the penalty to a Match. Hwoever, he's Finners buttboy so can't see it happening.

How do you know he "targetted the head, he may have hit the head yes but maybe unintentionally, causing no injury, and yes he should have responsibility for his actions hence the 2+10penalty, its hockey its a physical sport, it happens but not always maliciously,(just see what happened to Senetors Karrlson) Karlsson getting a laceration on his ankle is an accident, those happen. You can always avoid a check to the head. There are no accidental checks to the head at professional level. You can see where your man is at and how his body is positioned. Casey isn't the biggest of guys either. He got a 2+10 as Casey wasn't injured on the play and Finnerty, i mean Darnell, didn't feel it warranted a 5+Game or Match penalty. Sorry disagree you cant always avoid a check to the head, its a fast game and its only a matter of inches from your shoulders to head, If he targetted the head then yes throw him out, if an injury is caused (which it sounds like there was) then throw him out, if it was one of them accidental higher hits then I am happy with 2 plus 10 (which is what the rule allows for), what annoys me is that we cant go and stand up for Casey without getting either a 2plus 10 instigator or a 10 minute abuse of official for moaning about it, those are the rules that really hack me off.

I can see where you are coming from but I feel that checks to the head are avoidable. Casey seems fine though so 2+10 is an acceptable penalty given there are no longlasting injuries it appears.

No, i'm not. I don't see what bearing that has on my ability to form and post my opinions. It does if you never saw the hit So, because I did not see the hit I cannot form an opinion on the correct penalty being called having been presented with the relevant information ie Casey being bloodied but returning. Or am I not able to form an opinion on checking to the head and a players ability to avoid making this play?
