The way the Clan won it is not embarrassing. They won it fair and square by getting the most points over the season in conference games, simple as They won it fair and square, but on their budget I'd say it was extremely embarrassing having to rely on another result for them to win the Conference by a solitary point. Obviously their fans didn't mind but that lot are happy as long as they get an excuse to sing and dance around for a few minutes. If they seriously think THAT was an achievement it shows how little they know. Don't forget they came 8th in the league, the true test of your ability and were the 3rd ranked Scottish team despite being the only full time pro team. And we are 2nd behind Edinburgh

I think Clan will have learned some very valuable lessons this season, particularly I suspect, to not underestimate the other teams in the Gardiner Conference. Budgets aside, Clan won it fair and square, and you can say well "we would have won it, had we won this game, and that game", but I suspect all 5 clubs can say that.
All of us were inconsistent, and road trip hockey, is going to be the thing that wins the conference next season I'd suggest

Yup, that said, we are defo one of the best at home, alas, just countered, with one of the worst on the road. A few games we definitely through away all right, and we could very easily have been 4th or 5th and Gardiner Champions, which would have been right in line with the high end expectations.

let's not belittle what Braehead did, every team in the Gardiner was a big improvement on last season, and the Gap between Braehead and the rest has most definitely been closed. I hate this "they relied on other results" cr4p, everyone has to play each other the same amount of times, every team fulfilled their fixtures and Braehead came out with the highest total, end of story.

I'll belittle what Braehead did if I want- it's great fun! It's not the fact that they needed a favour from Edinburgh, its the fact that they won it by a single point over teams who on paper should not have stood a chance against them. It's stupid not having all the results included in the Conference table and over the season they were not the best of the Gardiner teams. What they did was hardly a magnificent achievement! ... And their fans are annoying.
