Dundee played the rookie ref to perfecttion, it was not refereed in playoff style with a number of soft penalties favouring Dundee as it slowed the fast fife game which Dundee could not handle, never mind I think it is Darnell tomorrow, he won't be as easy to fool as Dalgliesh was What makes you think it's Darnell? Do they not tend to keep the same Ref for both legs?

Simms posted on twitter that Darnell was doing 3 second leg games, with him being up here for Braehead and it being the televised game I am assuming and hoping it's him

Thanks for the updates stirling, good stuff. As I read this thread I thought 4-0 was a good lead to take to dundee tomorrow but read on and now a 1 goal lead will be hard to keep up there. However flyers can still do it. Podemos

First, it is definitely Darnell tonight.
Second, thats 4 times in a row we have beaten Dundee now.
Third, we are in the lead and the only team to have won a home first leg play off game
Fourth, I would much better be in our position than Dundees'
Both the Flyers and Dalgleish got sucked into Stars garbage hockey and this got them back into the game. 5 on 5 we were the much better team so the lesson for tonight is not to get sucked in and just play our hockey and we will win this.
Agree on the Rawlyk things, on the puck last night he controlled the game for them but he couldn't skate with our speed and he never went near a corner all night so he will be caught out again tonight

Few thoughts on last night. Like others have said for period and half we were unplayable, then penalties let them back in. Dissapointed with Derek and Ned think they let the occasion get to them, daft penalties at crucial times. Players look tired by this half way stage think the nervous energy had drained a few, hope they can raise themselves for tonight as i think although Dundee will score so will Flyers and Regan looks red hot. Well done Tommy and Matt for not rising to the cheap shots and goading. If Flyers want to be up there next season in these situations and pressures with bigger crowds regularly then boys like Ned have to think a wee bit, will they be invited back if they cannot handle it and become a liability? Really hope Danny is ok, any update? Either way I think we can do it, pressure off a wee bit away, smaller rink will suit our faster hustling style, just keep out the box! And when big rawplug is in our end and tying boys in knots someone else needs to leave their man and put him on his bum, it's the only way to do it, when he is keeping possession and the player marking him is all over place his head is down, knock him over!
