Another flat home performance at the business end of the season. Totally got what we deserved in the end. After a bright start, the Dundee equaliser seemed to suck the life out of us. A great goal from Gunny should have set us up nicely for the 3rd period but we allowed Dundee to dominate. I don't think there will be many returning imports next season, either through their choice or the coaches choice. I have a lot more respect for the grafters in our team than the 2 or 3 luxury players we are carrying. We need everybody pulling their weight and pushing in the same direction over the next 3 games. I was all set for making a day of it in Dundee tomorrow but I honestly don't think I can face it now.

Can someone tell me. Is it written in Chaumonts contract that he must take penalty shots? He is clueless and has never shown any flair for taking them but he is rolled out every time. Waste of a shot when Fulton and Fleming at least must be a better option. Tonight all four of our attempts were woeful. The better hockey playing team took the two points tonight. That will be the same Mr Chaumont who will more than likely get a contract next year when Todd returns. This club badly needs a new direction with a new coach to replace the current one along with new imports. bad performance tonight but i blame one person for that and he stands on the bench doing nothing.

pretty sure the coach doesnt tell them to stop contesting for the puck or get out of position and take a million extra needless touches on PPs..the players are responsible for effort and concentration levels imo..the score was 3-4 not 2-3 as stated on the title thread btw

Two woeful displays in succession. If dump & chase doesn't work for us, why is it the only tactic we use. No doubt the players were more interested in getting to the pub after the game rather than the game itself. Danny must learn that he can pass to any other player in the team especially if they are in a better position. The team must learn if you pass behind a player it doesn't work, we had so many chances tonight and should have buried Dundee, but apart from the first two minutes there was only one team going to win that game, all credit to Dundee they have a brilliant net minder, great bits and a faith in each other and a will to win. We have a great net minder that we hang out to dry so often it must be soul destroying. Can't see many of the imports wanting to return, but I expect a few to play for other teams that have a more professional setup, if we have no coaching changes, season tickets might not be so popular, the thought of yet another season of dump & chase hockey by players with great stats, but that just can't gel as a team. After 4 years we appear to have learned nothing, but we seem determined to dish up the same dross year after year, yes we might get a playoff spot, does anyone think we will make any progress after the first game, on last night's showing & the previous few weeks there is not a team in the league that is worried about playing us, they know our tactics better than us and know how to shut us down. It is hard work being a Flyers fan, if only the team were as passionate as their supporters things might be different, another week and then we face a repeat of the last four summers, no one knows if we have signed any players, they will arrive late and the circle goes round again. Please can someone give the fans something worth being passionate about and match nights something you look forward to, rather than, I've got a season ticket so I had better go along. We can but dream. COYF

Bobby was lazg AGAIN.. Ned not interested. Brits try but just not good enough Yep......the same two who were in the casino on Friday night. Had enough of the lot of them. I`d take Kyle back and the rest can bolt. And Danny is the main cause of all the unrest, so he`d be first. Kevin isn`t coming back so I exclude him

Kevin isn`t coming back so I exclude him Is that not how professional sportsmen behave, we need to get Scott Brown of Celtic in as a conditioning coach for next year to keep things going. Ask any athletics coach or league football manager about their attitude to players who are out of condition and spending too much time in the pub, they would have been canned months ago, and if, as alleged, the assistant coach is responsible for a lot of the unrest then it's time for him to hit the highway too, physical violence between work colleagues is never justified and would have resulted in instant dismisssal from most employers, even if it did happen in the pub. Kyle has been upfront about his attitude to the general lack of fitness and attitude of players, if he would take it, would he be a possible player coach if we start from scratch next year, he knows the league and the support and the owner, and it's unlikely we'll go for a head coach (non playing) in the near future.

First half season we signed Chaumont he was a goal scoring machine, and at least got stuck in around the net. Fulton and Reber were never short off effort last season despite struggling early on, Lukacevic came in and turned last season around, was excellent. Nickerson although I love him turns up miserably overweight for his second season now all these players have good pro careers, they come to Fife and after a while they realise they can do whatever they want and get away with it, those guys mentioned are just a few but the list would probably go on, blame lies with the owner and coaching staff, they're an absolute disgrace and quite frankly the fans in general deserve more. The club is a gold mine. Not all these players have turned poor or disinterested in the game by chance, although they're to blame aswell, the club is a joke in this league as a pro outfit, they can't hide in the elite league and get away with it like they did in the BNL and Tam Muir surely must realise it, but he probably doesn't care. Regan will be off next year and if by chance he reads this which I highly doubt he deserves praise for being pure quality the last 2 years and covering up our struggles especially when he returned after his personal issues last year. Iv said it since day one of the season that this was a poorly put together team that will struggle. Dutaiume doesn't have a clue how to put together a side. It looks like he signs individual players who he has no knowledge off and hopes it'll all work out, doesn't appear to sign guys that will complement each other on the ice. It's terrible.

Todd's views on the match. Havering again. And who are Belffast? That could be an interview from any poor loss over the last 2 years

Do they just run the same interview every week, saves on time and money, only thing consistent is poor performances on the ice.

Even of Flyers do make it to the playoffs big deal... It will only result in two extra games anyway. This isn't America. The league has been the most important part of the season in UK hockey for as long as I can remember and this year we (flyers) have been garbage.

For me that third period shows exactly why we need a change of coach and the loss has to be fully down to him and his tactics as I don't think this was a lacklustre performance at all. I think the result all came down to his coaching and his lack of ideas in changing strategies mid game
Going into that third period we had momentum and were on the front foot but for some reason instead of pushing that and taking advantage of it our tactics were to invite Stars onto us and defend the one goal and it was inevitable that this was creating pressure for us and it was also inevitable that this would also lead to the game getting tied but for some reason Dutauiame was quite happy to persue this tactic. Fair play to him for trusting his team to do that but if we had come out on the front foot in the third and scored two quick goals it would have eneded the game instead we gave Stars more and more life as the period as well.
I also think we don't know how to pass our way through a neutral zone trap. The amount of times that Dundee clogged the neutral zone with all five players when we had the puck and we were unable to break it down was unbelieveable and so we resorted to dump and forget to chase.
Dutiaume has complained time and time again that players don't listen to his instructions, well last night I think everybody was listening to him in that third period and this was the result
