Think Broony must have been half way over for the beer when the d.j announced flyers man of the match number 30..............nine, how Danny got mom beggars belief. Good display from Flyers tonight, looked dangerous going forward and pretty solid at the back which is usually quite a good combination! Stocktons stick work for our 3rd was superb as was Caigs sliding intervention when they had a 2 on 1. Wilson was having a decent match until he decided to make things interesting at the end with two very soft penalties to create a 5 on 3 for Clan resulting in their second goal. Would also like to give Kyle Horne a mention, he was getting slated something rotten on here about a month back, since then he has enjoyed some ice time and his performances have improved no end.

Its Doom and Gloom over on the Clan Forum 0/8 in the League this season and glad to see the back of FIA They also don't want us in the Play off Quarter Finals Clan have a tough trip down to the NIC next Saturday and then face us on Sunday at the Shops But first we have the Caps who are a wounded animal right now they have more patches than Jacobs coat right now You have to tip your hat to Carsen Chubak 66 shots tonight and saved 64 of them that guy deserves something

4 times we have done Braehead in the league at home now this season and 4 times we have made them look very ordinary indeed, if this is the champions elect then it doesn't say much for the rest of the league. I actually thought Belfast caused us more problems last night than Clan did tonight I thought Flyers controlled large parts of the game and once we had weathered the Clan storm at the start of the second and regained our two goal lead again we were fairly comfortable and it took two very soft call by Wilson to let Clan back into the game with their powerplay goal but even then I didn't feel as if we were put under any undue pressure and considering we played a large part of the game without Haines that is indeed an excellent effort. Thought Stockton had his best game for a long time and his stick work leading to our third was a thing of beauty and he would have been my MoM just ahead of Brown, Rioux and Delahey. We did look tired at times with it being our third in three but even so we looked remarkly comfortable for long stretches and by no means was it a back to the wall performance as we played some really nice hockey as well. It looks like we are hitting our straps and finding some form at the right time of the season. It says a lot that we got 4 points this weekend and people are disappointed with it Excellent result for the league

Really good game and a well deserved win. Great first period performance from Flyers. Second I thought Clan played better and gave us some problems. Flyers played well in the third without Haines and thought Caig was superb and my MOM. Brown Stockton and all the defence had good games too. The MOM was a nonsense as Danny despite playing well should never have been in contention. Still waiting on the last goal being announced. Check out the SOG on the Elite site. Says Broonie had 89 shots on him in the first and 115 overall. Eat yer heart out Chubak!!!

Great game. Did anyone else notice Hartman putting his hand in his pocket and giving Finnerty something just after we got the empty netter. A wee bet on the goal maybe?

15 hours ago swarfiga said: Credit where it's due, one of the best performances iv seen this year from them, Caig was excellent. Totally different team to what's been on show most of the season. Pacquette was totally dumb at the end, thankfully that didn't cost us the 2. Give the guy a break, he had just been checked into the boards well after the icing whistle then the wee hard man dwarfy linesman started pushing him, think about if it had been you do you not see a bit mist at times, if Wilson had called the deliberate late check as roughing as he should then perhaps paquette would not have reacted, Honestly Wilson is stealing the 280 quid he gets a game. Wilson had no idea what was going on with that scenario as he was at the other end of the rink and unaware of the incident. The linesman was well out of order ushering Paquette to the sin bin immediately so when Wilson arrived there he hadn't a clue what was going on, after a wee chat he then bailed the lino out by giving a 10 minute mis-conduct penalty and not a minor saving a possible 6 on 4 in the last 2 minutes of the game and an uproar that would surely have followed had Clan scored to level the game. Mr Wilson really needs to learn to skate backwards as the amount of times he has his back to the play is embarrasing. The linesman we see in Scotland at the moment really need to go to school because watching their signals or lack of during the game, the mistakes getting made shouldn't happen at that level, i mean simple offsides getting missed sometimes with players 15ft into the zone it's shocking, icings ?? good job 2 line passes don't exist today ......lol
