No, but it would mean that Clan need to win all of their last 5 games. If we win and they drop a point then it's ours. Cheers Finchy aye that'll take us level on points but I can only see the regulation wins for league rather than in conference games so if it goes to points tied you know what the regulations wins are as it stands for both team in conference? I'm posting from memory here but I'm sure before the Edinburgh game (which we didn't get a regulation win in) Clan were already dead level with us with Dundee also only 1 behind. Pretty sure we were always going to miss out if it came down to being level on points.

If you go to the stats page ( www.eliteleague.co.uk/standings/) and then change Elite League to Gardiner conference, you'll see the regulation wins (RW).

Lots of permutations still to go in this conference. A regulation win down in Manchester is all we can do to give ourselves the best shot at conference title. There's still plenty twists and turns to come all over the league. Not too bothered about Sheffield tonight, just want healthy bodies and no suspensions going into Manchester on Sunday.

A penalty shots win would be just as valuable - whether or not we win in regulation is now almost completely irrelevant. Just need those 2 points. Even a point takes Dundee out of the equation so would still be valuable, especially if Stars beat Clan in regulation on Sunday which would make us Conference winners. There are lots of permutations but we take something from this game and we're sitting pretty.

With performances from the last couple of games, I think we're relying on Braehead losing two games as I doubt we'll take anything from this. Our forwards have lost their scoring touch again and Storm can't stop scoring!

If it comes to regulation wins then we are toast. We have 15 from 31 ganms, Clan 15 from 27.

No Ryan Dingle for Flyers. Allan Anderson returns to the line up. Tonight's game just got a wee bit harder.
