Reading notes of Clan Q&A meeting with fans last week over on Purple Forum
Finnerty refers to FIA as the Trailer Park and makes references to our fans.
Bit silly of Finnerty given his position
That's one thing about Todd he never stoops to this level and is mostly complimentary towards Finnerty and his teams.
Says we like Brooks and asked who will be first to put him on his backside
I am sure its just sour grapes for putting them out the playoffs last season

See I don't think what he's said is that bad, he's just adding to the rivalry, he's not stupid he knows what he's doing, and plus our rink is an absolute dump but that's why we love it mostly.

He's as much talking about the fans as the venue. Guys an arrogant idiot, hope he gets even more in his ear this year and his team get pumped. As for someone asking what can be done to protect their players from our fans. Geezo, how soft do they think their players are. Scared of women, kids pensioners etc shouting a few things. Typical naive over reactions from the clan fans as I am sure we will see loads of (again) this season

Why are we even bothering about what he said at a fans forum, jeezo let him update his fans and add the odd bit of bravado it's no skin off our nose.
I only wish given our current position of a fairly average looking team, talk of visa's not being here for friendly game, Brits not changing in years and a fairly poor looking deal for fixtures with no double headers, our coach and owners would have an open forum to answer some concerns

This view is playing exactly into the hands of those fans in the west. As he is the head coach and the focal point of all things for them he is saying to the fans that this is the view of our club, this is something we believe, so if this is what, we the club think, you as fans are totally entitled to go and spout this rubbish as you see fit and continue to be your abusive selves

I love sports psychology and to me this is him showing that we as a team, as an organisation and as a fan base get to him. We get in his head with everything and he doesn't know how to cope with that and that transfers to his team and shows a lack of discipline, a lack of calmness and composure, a lack of leadership and a lack of diplomacy and that he is thinking about us more than anything before a puck is even dropped.

I love that he keeps showing his true colours and how much of an idiot he is and I also love that Dutiaume never lets himself get dragged into this rubbish

It's the typical Glaswegian/Old Firm attitude that their fans love and lap up, but I think you're right that there is more in it than just that-

His teams in the past have 'choked' quite a few times and that's down to him and his own mental weakness and his ability to mentally prepare his players. The same mental weakness that has just been shown through comments about our club, our fans and even other rinks in the league.

Contrast that with Todd; he might not be the most liked by our fans, but he's a classy guy. He turns up well dressed every week, he doesn't bad mouth other teams in the media or public, he is a calm presence on the bench and he is reluctant to throw his own players under the bus because he knows the impact of it. When you've got guys like Chris Holt publicly praising Dutes instead his own coach, that tells you a lot (in my opinion anyway)

Holy hell the season must be close, rival coach has a dig at our team/rink/fans. Let him get on with it. Who cares what he has to say let's concentrate on ourselves.

Let's concentrate on the shopkeeper, it is worth a couple of goals for our team as he just cant handle it and his players know it.
