Listened to Todd's Post match interview and its hard to take what he says with any real credibility. We have heard the same or similar talk from him for years yet the same problems still exist. Fife is a country club where players soon realise they can get away with things they wouldn't elsewhere. Todd seems to expect guys to act like pro's off their own back. Which is ideal in theory but the reality is young guys in their mid 20's getting paid decent cash and treated like hero's in Fife not to mention the attention they will receive. Will lead to some guys not being focused on the day job. Its something that has gone on in Fife forever, the imports who have fallen foul of the culture here is a pretty big list. We don't train our guys off ice we just expect them to do what is required. How many folk can do their job without the pressure from the boss or at least the consequence of not doing your job being there. Play badly you still get a game, screw up off ice you still get a game, don't train hard you still get a game. What was it Todd said a few season back "what am I supposed to do not play my imports". He is a really nice guy but his reluctance to take a hard line with his players over the years has always been an issue- unless your a Brit that is! The Club may have fined guys in the past we don't know this, you cant lay all this at Todds door its down to individuals to conduct themselves befitting of their position. You can tell during the interview that there will be ramifications for two issues and don't expect them to be broadcasted its between Employer and Employee. your also stereotyping Fife as a country Club not a fair comment. It was a great game last night shame you missed it The only thing that shows Fife as a country club and the fact they have been for decades is their own actions. Someone posted the link up to a Paul Hand interview and he discussed that very thing. Why is it a country club, lets use one example Matt Nickerson. Overweight and not up to proper fitness when he played here. Signs with the Giants and gets fit and drops the excess weight. Why because the Giants told him to or no contract. Asked why did he not do it at Fife "nobody ever told or asked me to". We all know about the Bogart's club during those seasons which Danny was firmly in the middle off. and I wouldn't believe for a minute Todd wasn't as well. Players get away with more stuff here that within other clubs just wouldn't be tolerated. We even had a new signing this year telling fans don't expect the me to be fit to start the season. Kyle Haines mentioned during an interview about players not being fit enough or working hard enough to be at their best. He was clearly frustrated by some of his teammates and how they were approaching things. Do you want me to go on! Can't lay this at Todd's door....your kidding right?? He is the head coach he sets the rules he enforces them if required. Why would this not be laid at his door.

Great game last night and we were well worth the win. Yes Whistle was very poor but I'm sure Owen would be thinking he could have done better at 2 of the Giants goals. At 4 - 1 up Halas done his best to bring Giants back into the game by calling very soft penalties on us whilst missing 3 glaring penalties on them. When they scored 4 on the bounce to go 5 - 4 up I thought we were going to throw in the towel, but no, it was quite the opposite, we dug deep and scored 5 without reply. Kudos to Foxy for throwing some big hits. This was the gritty style of hockey we were promised at the start of the season, I only wish we had been served it up on a regular basis. Well done Flyers.

Spot on, maybe if it happened 1 or 2 seasons you could put it down to signing a few idiots that wore if on others in the room but it's happened for 6 years and you can't do it at this level, again it's not the SNL anymore. It's no coincidence that it's happening every year under Todd, and we are yet to see anything to suggest he does anything about it, I know the 3rd/4th play off game is a waste of time but the state of a few of them in that game the first time we got to the final 4 was a disgrace

We went from playing one of our worst games to our best game of the season in 1 day!
Great to see almost all the guys finishing hits & battling hard for pucks in the corners finally!
It's getting beyond a joke with Halas now, It's as if he can't be in charge of a blow out game and has to give the bigger, losing team, every chance to get back into the game! Who lets the DJ know who scored & assisted btw? or does he simply announce what he seen? if so he needs thicker specs as some of the goal scorer announcements were laughable
More of the same please Flyers until the end of the season and see where we end up
Also good to see Todd being a bit vocal during a game! not his usual standing arms folded throughout the whole game

The ref gives the goal scorer and any assists to the timekeepers bench and the guys there phone the announcers box adding time and if it was SH PP or ENG etc. That is the same with all the penalties called. At least that is how it was when I was working on the time keepers bench

Even if it was a playoff game for 9th and 10th place there is no excuse for proffessional sports men who are supposed to set an example getting drunk before a game. Flyers and the drinking culture is an embaressment. But as long as they coast along throughout the season picking up the odd shock win here and there nothing will ever change. Congrats to Braehead on another conference win...

Congrats to Braehead on another conference win... Last week being a perfect example. The fact that we got hammered by Sheffield (which may be understandable) then getting gubbed by Manchester seems to have been completely overshadowed by the fact that we shipped 9 past Belfast in what was an incredible game of hockey.

Getting beat by Sheffield isn't understandable, They are simply better trained both on and off the ice have a proper fulltime team and are investing in their players for now and the future. We are simply miles behind them through nothing but choice.
Flyers could easily follow this path without going daft spending money. Bums on seats - the rink was only just over half filled on Sunday night, That's a hell of a lot of money not coming through the door. Roughly £20,000 lost in gate money. Think about the bar, café, flyers shop, 50/50 and chuck a puck. Again that's some amount of income not being generated.
Listened to the Monday Night Review podcast from the EIHL this morning, Todd is the guest on this week (he really should have had a strong coffee or a red bull before going on). He made one point that really jumped out to me "gone are the days when a team would dominate and win the conference easily"
Clan 37 Pts Storm 27 pts Flyers 25 pts
So glad nobody is walking away with the conference title this year.....roll on Friday!

Not a smart move by 'Captain Marvel'. Mind you he's got nothing else these days.
