The final was incredible, the difference is levels from what we've seen this year was great, in a way that's what make the final 4 weekend special but in the same boat that's why we want to see more play off hockey like longer series'. Sheffield looked like they could go all night despite like what ronniemac has just stated about Bordeleau, some of his hits were as good and hard as you'll see in any league, I'd love to see a guy like that in the barn. Not forgetting as we have all already said a thousand times the extra bums on seats a guy like that brings. Very true, I wasn't overly impressed with him earlier on in the year but he changed my mind completely at the weekend and as the year went on, but just personally iv missed maybe 10 home games this season due to the poor hockey, I wouldn't have missed any of them if we had someone like that in the line up, there's 160 quid extra of my money and positive I ain't alone. Again it's not rocket science is it, just ignorance and arrogance.

I can't agree with Andi, I thought the 2 Semi's were good and felt Dundee pushed Cardiff for most of their game until they run out of gas, thought Scarcella looked really good and did well to come back from the thunderous check on the boards he got. The Final was awesome, the best game of hockey I have ever seen and as stated elsewhere the fitness Sheffield showed was unbelievable, some of the hits from Bordeleau were huge when he got his limited shifts, I'm sure some of the Steelers D had sore skeletons on the Monday. The 3/4 game is total nonsense and put the only tick in the negative column for me over the week-end (again), my tuppence worth would be to have the teams that don't make the final quartet down and have a skills competition that way it would involve all the supporters which is something they try to do anyway with all the team name checks done over the 2 days, perhaps even a few signing sessions arranged to have more interaction with the people who make the whole week-end happen .............the fans, I think the NHL could learn our mob a thing or twelve how to treat the paying public. Ronnie, you have misinterpreted my post and I can see why. Meant Belfast v Dundee utter keech. Only part of the whole weekend that I didn't enjoy was 3rd/4th game.

Not so sure about Bordeleau. Granted he throws plenty of hits but would take Haddad or either of the Hothams before him as they look to have more skill while having size and toughness.

Aye they're better hockey players for sure but he brings a huge amount of physicality, blend that in with the right team and it's a massive advantage

Hi Andi,
No worries, I thought Haddad was Mom for Devils in the final by the way although Bowns did had a few massive saves in o/t and generally had a great game. Bordeleau I mentioned because of his hits on the Steelers D men, he was a guided missile that was 2 minutes late yet the victims seemed like rabbits caught in the headlights just waiting on the hit, he didn't get a lot of ice time all season yet featured heavily on s/h plays....mystery? Devils had team toughness in abundance this season and very nearly bagged all the trophies, a team that would sell a massive amount of season tickets at KIA FOR SURE.......if only the coach could see what the fans do.
