Brutal to watch last night..how many times was Marr hung out to dry. Belfast were worthy winners and it looked like an EIHL v Recce team at times fortunately as bad as the result was it could have been a lot worse. The rumour last night was Iles & Bloodoff done for the season and visually it certainly looks like 3 other players are carrying injuries so does not bode well for the playoffs.
When will TD & JH realise that Scoon is miles out of his depth at EIHL level in reality he would be lucky to get on the 3rd line with the Kestrels, Chad Smith has shown miles more promise ( I don't get the too small still developing attitude) and Beattie is just not getting a chance, I joked last night that I would rather see a cone with a Flyers shirt left out on the ice instead of Scoon at least the opposition would have to go round it.

i was wondering that myself Ronnie as soon as the game was over he should have had all the Brits on. but to be honest smith and beattie should be getting minutes just now to keep the imports mins down a bit and keep them fresher but hey who are we eh.
I just couldn't believe the amount of times they sailed right down the middle last night with no challenge no hit nothing just basically allowed to walk in to our zone scot free, said we need a few boys that can hit, soon as one of them came doon the middle bang flatten him, but you can't take it away from the giants they were fast and clinical and done the jobs better than we did, too many times we were chipping pucks in there zone and getting no where near them

If Iles is "done for the season", why is he backup on the bench?

Never been known to over-estimate a crowd at KIA...
No bus / sea legs with the Giants last night it was straight down to business and didn't take their foot off the gas, tic tac toe plays coming thick and fast, open guys in the slot and straight up the middle for virtually empty net goals, we saw them all....in effect a hockey lesson. Injuries are now causing problems which were actually predicted on this forum from day 1.
The coach has to take note that British players are not there to enjoy the show and ride the pine, a once highly respected club for local talent decimated to one golden child, two add ons and some wannabees as far as TD is concerned, the buck must stop with Todd who has done nothing to encourage / produce local lads to aspire to play in the Blue & Gold in all the years he reminds us of his tenure, who in their right mind would want to be treated in the manner the current British lads do.

It was Andy Little at Manchester & KIA last night as back-up, Iles was on the bench at the previous home game against Dundee but picked up an injury in the warm up.

This is going to be an excruciating end to the season.
One we do not deserve or one that is self inflicted?

Agreed not deserved and not self inflicted by any means We are not alone with injuries at the end of the season Our trouble is depth we have/had 3 good lines and two spare imports Ramsey's tenure was short lived due to personnel reasons the important bit is We have had injuries to following players Moyer, Bloodoff, Gauther, Heelis Iles Stockton Mosey and Young Arguably our best 3 players are still out. The injuries are not because of not playing Brits the Schedule is more to blame and some bad hits Correct me if I am wrong but we had more 3 in 3s than any other team Folks keep harping back to the past when Mark Morrison was Coach these Brits are not there now things changed The EIHL set up is successful and entertaining with import numbers allowed since demise of the BNL and Super league ERA killed off the Brit production line. These top Brits come at a premium so we have two guys that will come good in Smith and Cochrane. Sheffield are now trying to grow their own and have two future/current stars in Kirk and Shudra our guys don't have their physic None of us know what deck of cards Todd gets to play with but I have to say what I have seen of Beattie he is not good enough at EIHL level Smithy is a far better skater than Scoon and reads the game better, I agree that he should have been on the 3rd line from day one and kept on it Next season we should have Smith in a permanent slot he will know how to protect himself he has grown up playing hockey he know what to expect. Perhaps Todd is to protective off these young lads but they are involved and getting experience and they will come good Who else do we have that has physical stature and skill required that's skating for Kestrels right now that's better than Scoon and Beattie?

Spot on in about everything...re the kestrels, there best player in my opinion is Willie Nicolson, and he has had his day at top level... Little is a good keeper and he should replace Marr as he has shown he is not this level and commands a full time wage. I just don't get this Todd is not bringing through youngsters...truth is, go watch the kestrels there are no "youngsters" who can play in this league just now.

Why would Little want to replace Marr though?
From starting Kestrels goalie to travelling the length and breadth of the country to sit on various benches.

Dirty Lyle
I have watched plenty Kestrels games, why have we went from the hotbed of producing players to nobody (in your opinion), do you not think that young men look at how Brits are treated at Flyers and think to themselves i'm not wanting to play for TD i want to actually play in a game.

It's not just us though, in reality, what Elite Scottish club have brought a genuine elite level player through the ranks in recent years. And by that I mean a player that teams outwith our conference would want.
