If I hadn't seen this game and someone came up to me and told me that Flyers had went to Manchester and won 5-1 to turn round the 3 goal defecit from the night before...... on April the 1st!
I would have never believed them.

EIHL Game Report
Carlo Finucci’s overtime winner helped complete what seemed an unlikely comeback as they dumped Manchester Storm out of the PredictorBet Play-offs in dramatic fashion.
After losing Saturday’s first leg 4-1, the Flyers had a mountain to climb to overcome the three-goal deficit, but did that and more to book a place in next week’s Nottingham finals.
Mission one was to get the first goal on the board and Flyers did that inside the opening five minutes when Danick Gauthier found himself free to tuck away the first.
Matt Beca went close with an effort, which was denied by Andy Iles’ shoulder then Dan Correale’s backhanded chance forced a save by Storm goalie Mike Clemente.
Goal number two followed in the early stages of the second when a one timer from Finucci flew into the Manchester net and what seemed unlikely on Saturday, started to look likely.
Jim Jorgensen got the third and the goal to tie aggregate when his slapshot found its way over Clemente’s stick and into the home net.
Towards the end of the middle period, Manchester dealt a blow as Mike Hammond’s shot came off a stick and ended up behind Iles and Storm had edged in front once more.
The tie was still far from over and once again, Todd Dutiaume’s side showed their determination to score again and lead 4-1 on the night, but be tied at five on aggregate.
A wrist shot from Liam Heelis found its way into the roof of the net and the dream was still on as the clock ticked down on the third period.
Nerves were frayed, fingernails chewed as the game moved into overtime with only one goal needed to settle the tie.
And it was Fife that bagged it as Finucci came up with the goods to send the Kirkcaldy side to their third play-off finals in five years,
It left Manchester gutted, but not completely disheartened as a season where they won the Patton Conference and finished second in the league, come to something of an abrupt end.
For Fife, they’re on the road to Nottingham again.

When you think back to abuse Club took for signing Finucci two seasons ago The guy has more that justified his Jersey in this league and our team Not finished yet Agreed that he has more than earned his place. He led the whole team in scoring this season, what more does the guy have to do. Some saying he was running away from physicality last night - but not all players are signed to be physical. He avoids getting hit and avoids injury so that he can do what he was signed to do - be quick on the puck, create scoring opportunities and put the puck in the net. last night was a bad game for most the team with no bounces going our way and tonight a completely different story with a brilliant ending - couldn’t have written it better if i tried. Well done flyers on never die attitude and roll on next weekend!

How many Fife fans were at Manchester to witness it ? We've just got home and it was packed. Probably the best game of hockey I've witnessed, absolutely incredible. I've got to hand it to the Storm though, their build-up to the game is great and fun. Also, had plenty of their fans wishing us well on the way home, great bunch.

Thanks for all the updates and comments guys. Well done the Fife Flyers. That was a massive result especially coming from the 1-4 home defeat first leg. Anything can happen now at the finals weekend. Podemos.

Well home at 2.30am after witnessing a helluva hockey game, I have to say that Storm played a fast game but nowhere near as physical or intimidating as Saturday night which brought about their downfall, Fife were a fitter squad and dominated the game from start to finish being able to play heads up hockey all night. The atmosphere from start to well after the finish was amazing with more than a few fingernails being demolished during the 60 minutes, sections 115, 116, & 117 were filled by visiting Fifers (300 possibly more) who had decided to back their team regardless for the full 60, again the never say die attitude surfaced to break Finnerty's heart one more time. Oh aye....and Clemente never knocked the nets off once during the game .........bet he wished he had.

I'm still on cloud 9 after that result last night, but I can't think for the life of me why Storm didn't play a hard physical style at home on their small ice pad. It would have knocked the stuffing out of us I'm sure? Does that solely come down to dodgy coaching and tactics from Finnerty?
