The sooner we are put out of our misery the better. A 17 year old with a cage even scoring against us, you know the ones Todd says aren't able to cope with elite league hockey. Yes they were winning, but at some points of the season we were actually winning games and SJ still didn't get on, its embarrassing when the arena teams show us up for Brit ice time. Time for a clear out, and more importantly rip up the blue print for this season, it's been c***. I'm glad we are in the eihl next season, but if it's going to be the same dross served up dont bother. This 17 year old with a cage has already been scoring for the GB u20s and is pretty high up in the NIHL leading scorers. A couple of years ago he was playing at that hockey hotbed of Bradford! (Kieron Brown started there as well). Meanwhile KIHC have produced .......eh........... in the main a few players of lower NIHL quality a number of whom have been coached by their ex player dad or ex player dads former team mates, thus ensuring plenty ice time in all situations for the chosen few. Maybe an overhaul of KIHC is required.

Just like the flyers empire building is rife and talent is secondary to who you are related to or know in the organisation.

Final 8-2 tough night in steel land, 8th scored by young Alex Graham a kid 2 years younger than scott jamieson. Can we please get a coach who cares about our young guys! To be fair he only got on the ice because there was absolutely no chance of them losing. It was great for the kid to score a goal and to be man of the match ....a night he will never forget for sure. We were totally outplayed tonight full stop. 2 power play goals (second one well played though) after that headless chickens, we do deserve our position in the league this year I am afraid. Only talking point for me is Aarssons 5 + GAME from the linesman but nobody watching the game noticed it ? I still think this rule is wrong when you have 2 refs to cover all of the ice but a linesman can persuade a ruling of 5 + GAME to the refs who never saw it and cannot check if he was correct by review. A bad linesman can now decide the outcome of a game....although tonight it did not make any difference, it is still a grey area and should be addressed. My issue is we gave the caps heavy defeats over the years yet still sat local guys all night long. Jamieson has been with the kestrels more and more recently, which makes sense as not playing does him no good. 5 goals in one game last weekend ain’t a bad game is it. Dutes said weeks ago he will get ice time, he hasn’t. He is 19 years old that ain’t a kid that’s a man yes he has still to develop fully but a 17 year old getting ice time and scoring. Not hard to see how much b/s comes from our coaches. On the linesman thing that’s been a rule forever, they can tell refs of major infractions and the ref then makes the call. Nothing new in it been going on for years. If Scott did slash a player from the bench then he deserves to be kicked out. Dumb play if that’s what he did.

KIHC have lost a boatload of players during this season because it’s being run so badly. Over 30 have moved to Dundee or Edinburgh. Such a shame but when you have a clown running things it does tend to turn into a circus quickly. Oh just to add some of the ex players with kids in the club are ones that have left!!

Smith and Robertson - the ones a number of people were pinning hopes on the coach playing more at EIHL level- floated around in the game, didn't look as though they were busting a gut to prove themselves but more importantly I thought what drive and direction is coming from the Kestrels bench that allows guys to play this way. Maybe I expect too much having watched a lot of Junior hockey in NA but I was left feeling pretty disappointed in what I saw.
