And his uncle played nearly 500 nhl games If he is half as tough as his uncle oh boy lookout. Kelly Chase was a tough sob. Looks like a scoring winger for our first line. Very good signing with a lot off pro experience at 26. Need a few defenceman signings of a similar vain and we will have a good team

It's a sad thing to say before the season even starts but you can probably write our cardboard cutout coaches press interviews after each game right now if we lose it will be players not playing to the system

Not gonna be popular with this ..........glad he aint coming back. Never got the fandom for him, I know I know I'll get crucified for it but I watched him throw the puck away to often when he thought he was going to get hit. 23rd all time for the flyers (EIHL) in PPG. That says far more than being top for points which is only because he has played more games than every other import bar one (Danny Stewart). Top of the PPG list Casey Haines similar physical stature yet a vastly better player. League is hands down a better caliber the last 5 seasons than it was when guys like Haines and Fleming played. For example only 13 players had a ppg or better during the last eihl Covid stopped season. And 40 players had a ppg or better the season Casey Haines played in. Not everyone’s cup of tea I get that but he was a loyal servant and we don’t see that much these days. Played half his time with us with line mates like Scoon, isaacs( when used as forward, Gunn. Zero pp time I reckon his first season coming from a low league still scored 20 goals I believe. Was solid on pk for an offensive guy. Lead the team in scoring the conference winning season. Scored some big clutch goals. Seemed like a nice chap and did well interacting with fans. I guess im one of the ones that won’t be “glad” he left as you said. Did more good than harm for the club and hope we can replace him with someone that can put numbers up like he did for not just this season but want to stay at the club as well. You might want to go look at the rosters from 14-15 which is when Fleming played for us, hands down better not for me. Looking over the teams the league is full of top league experience, the top teams that season had thousands of AHL game experience. Cardiff won a trophy under their new owners Andrew Lords first as head coach. Steelers won the title with an amazing team seriously go look at their roster. Top Brits (many who are still in the league) were in their prime. Casey Haines finished 8th in the league for PPG with 1.41, 3 guys ahead of him played only 7, 10 and 14 games. If you take them out and only go for guys who were here the entire season he sits 5th. 40 players ahead of him??? no idea what stats your looking at? I said in another post Im not digging at Carlo as a guy never met him never spoke to him but by all accounts he was a stand up guy nothing against him at all on a personal level, I simply didnt rate his style of play. Give me Jordan Fulton or Mike Hamilton type guys over a player like Carlo everyday of the week, you want the skill route cool Ryan Dingle Nico Sacchetti what about skill and toughness Brendan Brooks, Derek Roehl. You see where Im coming from I believe/d there were/are better options than him that we could have had. Our recruitment can be very lazy and also our coach is very loyal to his players. Resigning guys like Carlo I have always thought is simply an easy and sometimes cheap option (Issacs). If you seriously would take Finuuci over Casey Haines because he stuck around for longer then cool you do you, for me its Haines all day long.

Shoulda been more clear I was simply saying there were 40 players in the entire league that season that were point per game players or better t as to show my argument that the league is much better now than it was 6/7 years ago. Where only 13 players in season 19/20 had a point per game in the entire league.I agree with a few of your points for sure and Yes there have been many great teams and players with great cv’s but there was not much parity in our league back then as there is now. Teams are better coached, better recruiting all round etc just my thoughts though. Would have been nice to see Finucci and Haines play together with big power forward type center men between them.
