Still issues, again kept in it by Shane Owen but quite a good work ethic, decent special teams and an entertaining game

How can anyone say well done? It's a mediocre dundee side, if we are scraping points from Dundee we have no chance elsewhere in the league

SOG stars 59 Flyers 24 in regulation. That tells a similar story for the season. Look it’s our first point we have guy that can score a goalie who we all know is outstanding. Given how negative I and well everybody has been it’s a glimmer of hope.

Owen can't be relied on week in week out!, I hope it is a glimmer of hope, but in seriousness we are looking like a bottom place team. Maybe something like 8th tops, it's pretty poor, fans deserve better, week in week out fans are going in to that arena almost knowing a loss is on its way. Early days but fingers and toes crossed its just been a bad start

Even though in my opinion it was quite an entertaining game and there were hints of improvement, make no bones about it, we are still a bottom placed team if things remain like that

Positives to take from the game for sure. It doesn’t change the fact changes are required.. Chase and Owen are at a different level to the rest of this team. We need 4/5 guys at that standard if we are to compete night in night out. We also need some toughness a lot of sticks in and around Owen going unchecked and that should never happen.

SOG totals I'd suggest were questionable - no doubt we were outshot but not many quality shots - we had as many chances but lacked quality. This was a Dundee side getting plaudits (even by people in here, maybe of course when it suits their agenda)- made to look ordinary by a side on record as saying they are going to upgrade a large chunk of their roster. Long way to go but a bit of perspective helps and you are correct - there are glimmers if the stated actions are executed correctly. PS - if Stars fans are saying D poor it is because they only had 5 and one of them was Grigors brother. Haas a curious absentee.

Better performance tonight, but still some work to do. First period wasn’t too pretty with Stars having the better chances, without looking too dangerous and despite the SOG, which seem inflated to say the least. A clever finish from Chase gave us the lead but Lescovs was easily beat to the outside, Owen saved but the rebound was a simple tap in for 1-1 at the end of two. Chase put Flyers back in front on a short handed breakaway early in the third before Dundee capitalised on a poor pass in our own end, with a smart finish from Lawrence to finish the 60 minutes at 2-2. Both teams had chances in overtime but neither could score. Chase and Carter scored Flyers penalties but after ten rounds it was 3-2 Stars. Still evident that we are carrying players not good enough for this league, but more chances made tonight including gilt edged ones for Carter and Adelgran, but we just couldn’t make the most of Dundee’s errors. Can’t fault the team effort and it looked as if there has been some improvements, but too many players posted missing again. Jamieson got a few shifts in the first then nothing. Not sure what all that is about. Not as if he was making bad plays.

Poorest the Stars have played so far this season, but still managed to grind out a win. Owen and Chase the only standouts in what I think is the poorest Flyers team I’ve seen since your first elite league season.
