Laura robson and heather Watson also through to the next round but don't see them getting much further.

With the points gained, Watson and Robson should rise to 41 and 44 in the world respectivly. If Laura can improve on her French Open performance from last year and get further in the tournaments in between, she could crack the top 20 by Wimbledon. Heather also has that chance. The future of womens tennis in the UK seems to be pretty healthy.
Andy Murray through the 3rd round and will dodge the possible banana skin of Del Potro in the the QF's as he has been eliminated. Barring any major upsets, Mr Murray should hit the Semi-Final against Mr Federer.

No, Murray was drawn in Federer's half of the draw. 2 v 3. David Ferrer is Djokovic's potential semi-final opponent.

Cheers fella. I assumed it was odd seed versus even seed.
Can Murray do it then? No reason why he can`t. The Slam monkey is off his back now.

No worries, every Slam my dad always asks me about the draw as well.
It's actually quite a good way of drawing the way the ITF/ATP/WTA etc do it. #1 must always be in slot 1, and #2 seed in place 128, but how 3 or 4 come out is luck of the draw, they must be in opposite halves too, but in their own quarter. So some slams you can have 2 v 3, 1 v 4, and other times 1 v 3, and 2 v 4. That's why you sometimes see 1 take on 5 in the quarters, and not number 8. The top 4 I think have to have someone ranked 25-32 in their group of 4 for their potential 3rd round match though, and someone from 13-16 for their 4th round match.
The way it is drawn though, FIFA/UEFA should take note. They manage to draw out 128 players in just 5 minutes, not the 2 hour long processions it takes to do a Champs League draw!
Can Murray do it? I think he can, I'd mark him as favourite so far on paper. Djokovic had a marathon against Wawrinka (the man with a face only a mother could love!) and a potential tough one tonight against Berdych - though if he plays the way he did against him at the o2 (I was there!) he'll walk it, but then he could take on the Wall (Ferrer) in the Semi's. Federer and Tsonga is prone to go either way, so hopefully they all burn themselves out leaving Murray the freshest.
The great thing for Andy is that he's currently the only player remaining that can do the Golden Slam!
Sorry for the essay, I'm a bit of a geek when it comes to tennis, and I didn't get out to play with the girls when I was a bairn, so had to fill my time somehow.
