It's not the Heineken era any more, live in the present ..we had the biggest crowds in that era and biggest spending power and bought the best brits from other teams ..we now are one of the if not the poorest team

In Scotland..however the English teams always beat the flames quite comfortably at Wembley. A few standout players but to say they were the best is a bold statement.

Fife produced most of the best brits back in the Heineken era along with Durham. In Scotland..however the English teams always beat the flames quite comfortably at Wembley. A few standout players but to say they were the best is a bold statement. Flames were 3-5-1 appearing in 9 of 11 Wembley finals.

Flames were 3-5-1 appearing in 9 of 11 Wembley finals. Yep - my experience of being at Wembley with the Flames was that they more than held their own. Wasn't at all of them but don't remember any drubbings. I recall Scotland having decent games against England at junior level games as well.

Held our own at hockey uk tournaments. Found it tougher against the foreign teams that were invited but if I recall, their age groups were slightly different
