Solid win. Comfortably the better team, with some really well worked PP goals. unreal pass from Laj for the 4th goal. Pilon must’ve drawn 2-3 penalties by himself. Makela and Wehrs were good on the back end, I thought, with most of the forwards playing pretty well too. Not perfect - some sloppy breakouts and a couple of silly penalties, but a good job winning a very winnable game.

A deserved win in the end and two valuable points. A fairly even first period. Blaze scored first on the powerplay at the back post and that seemed to wake Flyers up and less than five minutes later Osterberg made it all square from a lovely Lajeunesse pass.
Two powerplay goals from Humitz gave Flyers a well earned second period lead after a period that Blaze were only credited with three shots on goal.
Started the third on the penalty kill, which Blaze failed to score on but they pulled one back two minutes later with what looked like a redirected shot. Another great finish from Osterberg from yet another lovely Lajeunesse pass made it 4-2 with just over five minutes gone. Flyers then seemed content to see the game out and did so despite some scrappy moments. A tipped in goal from Pulkkinen finished Coventry off with about four minutes to go.
Still a few mistakes but no shortage of graft. Solid performance from Owen and a satisfying win.
