So that leaves literally zero British defenceman on the market that would be affordable to Fife. Questions have to be asked what the f*ck this ownership groups plans are? You have a seasoned coach come in with the same issue regarding brits last year, tells the fans the main issue it comes down to is depth yet we’re seeing other clubs snatch up local players that apparently this club prides itself on. This league will improve massively next year and we need 4 strong brits to compete every night. Why are we the only club that point blank refuses to sign British players that are capable of playing at this level, baffling honestly. It’s simple it’s down to salaries Coolen will have a plan There will be better news to come

We are the only team in the league not paying for british players that can play at this level. We have the second most expensive season tickets in the league, yet we’re missing 25% of a team straight of the bat. Fans are being short changed and its not good enough. Coolen preached depth was the issue last season and the only way to fix this was improving the standard of brits that he can trust to give ice time, cant imagine he’ll be happy at all if this goes unaddressed. Can sign as many good imports as you want, can only play 14 and it killed us last year, fans and Coolen deserves better.

What irritates me is that when we entered the EIHL, every team in the league had a guy who was a product of KIHC. Now we struggle to get minutes for any brit, nevermind a Kdy boy

Waller back for Flames.
Can’t see where we get brits now tbh. Cownie is rumoured to Solway and Forbes may still end up back at Clan.

I think it's a case that flyers are trying to get Brits in but they simply don't want to come to Fife. Not sure if that's down to perception they won't get played decent minutes, pay, or the town itself not being as attractive as the city teams.

They won't get game time as Muir as always wants every ounce of blood and sweat from the guys he is paying the big money to ie the imports and can't see anything changing

They stayed for a season (or less) then left. I don't believe it's down to money but other factors such as the town itself and the rink.

From memory Jones was injured half the season. Jones was excellent for us and played top 4 when he came back from injury. Peacock played top 6 minutes, pp and pk. Moore had heavy minutes due to injury, he was forced in to a top 4 role and played reasonably well

Jones came had a decent season despite injury. He left as he got the chance to join Steelers. Craig Peacock if im not mistaken said he went back to Clan as the travelling through from the west coast was too much on top of working as well. Its a tough market for brits that are ready to play you really need to be recruiting them as soon as the season is done if not slightly before.
