Sorry aye counted Connon as import, but they need then another brit forward then to make up 3 lines if starting with 10 and getting another import d the now. Is it not more likely signing Forsyth for d and another import forward? Don't think Brucey will be signed, as he had a terrible year for us last year. He would have been signed by now if that was the case. You can never tell though

I had always seen Euan as a more natural player in this league than the boys we have, but from what you have said he had a bad one last season. He was with you for last 4 seasons was he better before? Still would like him at Fife would give us depth in d where we have no cover without losing Danny from the forward line.

He was better the seasons before, last season he was partnered with Doug Krantz who had no confidence in him at all, a quote from Doug on twitter was "worse d-man i have ever worked with" it left Rio open when Doug went over. He also turned the puck over more times than i like to count. Could be 1 bad season, maybe if Caps or Flyers picked him up it could be a great signing.

Jeff has said signed all his Brits and if we signed him we would have a spare Brit D. I doubt he would go to caps - going on a convo I had with him previously. His job is quite demanding also so wouldn't surprise me if he didn't play this season at all :-(

Real shame that we talk about the possibilty of players at 25 to 28 years old retiring or not playing. I know it is hard juggling the practice time, gym time, travelling with a full time job, but know they will also miss it once they are not able to play anymore, and the few extra hundred a week in the pocket doesn't last forever. Also it's a short season compared to other sports, but I know Adam Walker said to me at the end of last season, that he would be thinking hard about this season as it is really demanding. Might explain our imports not jumping at the chance to come back as well.
But anyway probably wrong thread for this! Hope these boys keep going, you are not ready for recci hockey yet!

Part time Brits on £100 max, some not even that. Is it really worth that money considering all the time they spend each week at practise, traveling etc. but I do worry where the next generation of Brits will come from

£100 a week is still a big lift on many folks income for doing what many players will see as their hobby or passion and not a job. and if they werent being paid to play for the flyers they would be paying to play recce or snl

I think Horne and Dolan might be on a little more than 100 pw. But guys like Scoony don't get payed at all as far as I am aware.
