More of the same tomorrow night please! Might be a tough ask but even a point would be valuable. No reason not to go into the game with confidence after that performance.

Pitton & Patry five each for fighting 47:49. For all those that weren't there this was the most one sided fight ever. Jason Pittons right hand was like a piston smacking into Patrys head. The fight finished when Jason got fed up of hitting him. Murrayfield were pants tonight, how they have pulled off some of the great results they have this season is baffling.

Maybe they're saving themselves for tomorrow?
We looked nervy at the end of the 2nd when they got a goal from nothing (it was a nice finish though). Killing the penalty at the start of the 3rd and then going 4-1 up removed any nerves and we just owned the game from then on.

We need 2 points in regulation tomorrow and we shouldn't be thinking of anything else really. If results go our way elsewhere we may even have a chance to win the Conference next Saturday but at worst we can be looking for a decent play-off berth. Not a great game tonight but the points are most welcome. Hopefully it's the springboard we need. Caps miss Hartmann badly and if he's not playing tomorrow it's crazy to think we can't turn them over. The game is still being played on ice using a puck after all! C'mon Flyers let's make that push!

Big win tonight when it was needed. A pretty scrappy game, but I never felt we were likely to lose.
Bryan looked like he was seeing the puck a lot better tonight and the D in front of him were solid. Personally, I would have had Caister or Keller as the MOM, but the guys picking it were obviously swayed by JP's fight.
Tonight counts for very little unless we pick up the win tomorrow, and on that showing, we should head across full of confidence.

Spot on ...Keller or Stewart mom for me but hey ho...a win is a win .... tomorrow however is another day and 40 mins ....(an eternity) from KDY all crossed.

How Edinburgh have got the road victories they have had this season is beyond me, they have consistently been incredibly bad in every game in Kirkcaldy this season. They never had any consistent pressure on us to really put us under pressure.
We've been waiting for Jason to show us that all season and Patry never stood a chance in the fight and that took all the fight out of Caps as well but where was that Jason Pitton against Nottingham?
By the way he Jason never got a Gordie Howe hat-trick as was announced as he never got an assist.
I would have Jason on the ice every time Patry is on tomorrow as Patry will surely be looking over his shoulder all night.
MoM was Danny Stewart, the amount of times he blocked shots at the point was outstanding and that third line had good energy in it tonight and it was interesting to notice Danny dropping back to become a third D man when Caps had posession so that Gunny and Jamie could do the forechecking

Correct no Gordie Howe hat trick as he had no assist. a bit mumpy but true.

If we hit them tomorrow not fight but finish our checks we should beat them. Sit back and wait they will control the game. Lets get into them right from the start.

No weaknesses in the team tonight, i thought Danny responded to the criticism and was mom for me anyway, there were one or two changes in the line-ups and the power plays as well which amazingly were observations mooted on this very forum ......... perhaps we should all take a bow. lol
