Please...... Dolan busting a gut? He's never been benched for this amount of time, probably in his whole career, so it wouldn't surprise me if he came back looking to prove the coaches wrong.

And we've always got Scoon waiting in the wings, eh Kev? I am glad Todd seen sense and rested him this weekend. Obvious decision with the playoffs just round the corner. We need the big guns at 100% ;D

Now that was a proper derby game. Flyers started better but the longer the first period went the more the Caps came in to the game and the Hartman,Jarolin,Portwood line was causing us all sorts of problems. Second period was all ours and Flyers deservedly went into the second period break with the lead. Jasons penalty was utter stupidity and the way he was yelling at Wilson you just knew what was coming. Thought Podge deserved MoM tonight but everybody worked so well in a Flyers jersey and we fully desreved the win. Does anybody know what the problem was with Bryan with about 6 mins of the third left, I thought it looked like he had picked up an injury and was buying himself time with the drinks thing. Our penalty kill this weekend was absolutely fantastic No idea as all he seemed to do was wait for a drink then got on with the game. I think Wilson bottled it though as he was telling Brian to eave the ice for what ever was wrong but then never called anything. Then when Jason threw the bottle onto the ice I thought Wilson was going to give a minor for that, at least, as strictly speaking Jason is not allowed in the arena after getting thrown from the game and throwing anything onto the ice is also a penalty. I'm glad Wilson bottled it as it was a crucial time in the game and if we had lost Brian to the bench to "Fix" whatever was wrong (Even though I think he was just delaying the game ) and then picked up a minor for Jason coming back and then throwing the juice bottle onto the ice the result could have been different. As for the PK I thought it was horrendous in the first. We took about 90 seconds to get out our own zone and the Caps almost scored a shortie.

PK for the weekend....conceded 1 from 11, think thats pretty effective, and not sure how Caps could score a shortie if we're killing the penalty, we're short handed

I wish they would stop putting two behind the net on a 5 on 3 and passing it between each other. It's just not having the desired effect and is easy to defend against as the opposition can let them pass to each other behind there all night without any harm.
Two in front and one behind the net who is a good srickhandler like Podge or Casey would be better, it gives the opposition D two guys to tie up in front and leaves at least one guy free for a screened shot from the point.
Anyway, what do I know LOL

I have to say I get worried as with 4 forwards we only have one true defender on. On Saturday Derek Keller was on with 4 forwards and he pushed up and we got caught on a breakaway. Had Bryan not come out and dived with his stick to knock the puck away we would have lost a goal. We scored many goals on the powerplay at the start of the season with Caister and Keller in defence on the Powerplay.

whatever the drink thing was with brian it was a bit more than water, like he needed a sugar boost or something, there was gallons of water om the bench below us but he sent a kitman to get something before jason chucked that bottle across, presume it had some energy drink in it
