Just up after getting home at 2.45am, well to say not impressed was putting it mildly, have seen wins in that building by Flyers and thought it would be a fairly even match up but totally wrong,Storm had all guns blazing in the first with Flyers showing odd flashes, onto the second and it was like Sheffield all over again with Fife lucky to be just 5 nil down at the end of it Manchester were totally dominant. Into the third and we see the home team happy to hit on the break which allowed the visitors to claw something back making the final score look like there was more effort. Overall a total waste of time and money for the six of us that traveled down, we expected more from a game the visitors really needed to win if all the guff about still being in the Conference run was for real. PS, Todd & Hutchins spent next to no time in either period break talking to the team as they were at the rink-side below my feet blethering, other than the time-out they were 2 x cardboard cut-outs throughout the evening. PPS, Well done to TM for answering the bell when asked to drop them with nothing at stake other than embarrassment, you won that contest by the country mile.

I'm a season ticket holder and have been in the elite league era .l was down Manchester yesterday but not for the hockey . I was done what I had do by 2pm but choose to drive home rather than hang about until half seven and watch the game. I streamed the game against steelers and knew we would struggle against storm so now I'm happy I made the right decision .
I've supported fife for 25 years and never would of thought I would be that far down south the same day they are playing and not look forward to watching the team I support in a away rink .
Something needs to change as we will be left behind in this league the way it is going . Why the @@@@ we can't put together a team like Cardiff , fill the rink and challenge for silverwear is beyond me .
6 Seansonand it's boring , in and IM SICK OF IT TBH

I thought Muir was unable to fight this season due to arthritis in his hand?

Were they actually "wrecked"? How do you know they were? Maybe we don't want to finish above Manchester and get possibly Belfast or Cardiff? We maybe aiming for clan if we finish 7th. The potential seedings for the play offs look a bit daunting to me no matter which way they turn out but you may be right in thnking Clan is our best draw. Finish 6th and we get either Belfast or Cardiff, chances of beating them over two games slim at best. Finish 7th and Clan will come calling, OK they have horsed us all season long but wee must be due something against them.. right?

My 1st time down in the Rink in Altrincham Worst I have seen the Flyers play, did'nt bother turning up until the last few minutes, couldn't get into the pace of the game and probably only got their goals once the tanks in the Storm players started to run out. Lot of debate on the facebook & twitter pages regarding the drinking so close to the weekends etc, I have to side with the majority of fans saying no to getting hammered before games. I'm all for celebrating wins, or drowning sorrows AFTER the gameweek, bonds the team, publicity etc but they shouldn't be out to all hours drinking when they have two more games at the weekend. A lot of people saying oh it was 2 days before the game etc, but regardless common sense should prevail here and management should be clamping down on the beer culture? Only other thing I disliked other than the result, was the sight lines in that rink, can only see about 3/4 the width of the ice pad due to all seating being well above the plexi and the walking area sticks out a fair bit. There's TV screens above every block but hard to follow when the game is right infront of you? Apart from that, I enjoyed our visit. Well impressed how a "smaller" team attracts a good fan base with lots of noisey, passionate fans. Thought the rink announcer was good (a bit corny maybe, but still a good laugh) and would love Flyers to have someone like that instead of DJ Foghorn. All staff and fans I spoke to were very friendly
