The effort was there tonight lack of numbers and quality took its toll Probably the poorest Blaze team I have seen but they seen it out Hope I am wrong but I fear for our team making playoffs Our luck couldn’t get any worse than now What happened to the d man from Kestrels surely some of these guys can help out

Fairly entertaining first period with Flyers taking the lead early and Blaze edging into the game as the period went on. Coventry well on top in the second with Flyers visibly tiring towards the end of 40 minutes. Despite Bloodoff scoring a PS Blaze finished off a struggling Flyers whose heads seem to go down from the time Gauthier went off injured. Flyers certainly missed the injured players, but Cochrane looked capable on his few shifts. Thought McKenzie had a decent first period but he then sat for ages as Buesa had in the first 20. Don’t understand why these players don’t play regular shifts or why Smith never even hit the ice despite us being short of bodies. Schaber and Bloodoff look as if they are playing hurt and too many others went missing for large periods in the game.

What’s the point bringing in McKenzie and Buesa if they ain’t even playing a full game when we’re down multiple imports?

Is there nowhere in the rink that they can record interviews without background noise, so amateur.

We’re a banged up team now 4 imports down for tomorrow Boys will need to dig deep Gaut now adding to the list As we carry a spare import we will be 3 down against Dundee, but possibly Dundee will be in the same situation.

What’s the point bringing in McKenzie and Buesa if they ain’t even playing a full game when we’re down multiple imports? Both these guys have been excellent all season. Deserve a regular shift and Bari should be on the PK.

As said the effort was there. We had 2 great chances at 2-0 to go further ahead but thought we were too casual with them.
Turning point was the Basaraba penalty. We were blowing out of our backsides from then on. It was an unlucky hit but he did duck into it and connected with the Blaze players head.
For all of the time I have gone to the hockey I've laughed at the fitness of the officials. There's a linesman who I have genuine fears for as his face is purple from the 2nd period on. Toby's replacement last night could barely speak when he went to the benches.
Goat's injury is harder to take as the refs missed a blatant stick to the face on Moore seconds before.
Moore did give the 7th away but really felt for him as that apart he was solid. Watching him try to make up for it was great to see. There's a real player developing there.
Cochrane too provided positives. Feared for him going in against far larger opponents. Shepherded them well, waited for his moment and cleared them out with a couple of great hits. Deserved more time on the ice. Like Chad Smith he has an eye for what to do.
Taking some stupid penalties helped shoot ourselves in the foot. Liked that Bulmer was annoyed as he was trying to win the game single handed at that stage but applauding the refs was only likely to get him punted from the game.
Really can't do without Goats. Schaber looks like he was rushed back and with a question over Crowder's return we are very thin on players. Add Stofflet and Aarsen out long term that's arguably the starting line unavailable.
