I'm convinced it was Basaraba that scored the winner although everything I'm reading on social media is saying Basara 🤔

Another very entertaining game tonight we have had our hockey fix this weekend that’s for sure Marcus Basara the guy Finnerty tossed out the Stormshelter door with a double Panthers are a dirty team they don’t play fair and square they didn’t deserve anything from that game we should have buried it in the last two minutes when we had the 5-3 Munson being the difference Thank Panthers for Garnet had Rick Strachan put Munson who got a W last night might have been different result Guys dug deep our d deserve a medal this weekend But to a man they all played for the win Both teams looked knackered at the end Panthers with 2 min PP in OT but couldn’t get the job done I think Flyers look lethal at 3-3 we have had plenty practice at it but speed and skill won the day tonight over physicality If we finish 6th or higher we have as good a chance as who our opponent has We need to try and get bodies back in line up that’s the task this week Stofflet was looking as fit as a butchers dog walking around rink tonight hope he is back on Friday

Also seen that the Panthers boy has supposedly got a broken jaw from the 'roughing' with Bulmer. Ignore me, never noticed someone posted this earlier!

I see Basaraba now being credited with the winner on the game sheet ... he’s scored some big goals for Flyers.
Also see that Crowder been given the 1st goal so Basara’s hat-trick been downgraded somewhat!

Great first period performance saw Flyers 3-1 up after 20 minutes. Panthers well on top in second and were all square after two power play goals to go in even after two. Good third period which Panthers took too many penalties but Flyers unable to capitalise. Flyers powerplays poor all night. Overtime was interesting to say the least with Flyers disallowed goal and a too many men penalty before Flyers got the winner with 12 seconds to go. Announced as Basara but game sheet gave it to Basaraba. Great performances from Pinkston and Moore yet again and the defence are bound to be exhausted after their efforts this weekend. Four good points this weekend. Not always pretty but never gave in both nights.

What a weekend! Last month we were edged out in close games where we deserved better. This week we got some of that back.
In both games I thought we were the better team but only just. Nottingham pose a very different problem to Guildford, being far more physical, but far poorer to watch.
Guildford look to outclass you whereas Nottingham look to wear you down. That said, Nottingham do have some very good players and it is an effective method. Todd and Hutchy have to take significant praise for putting out a team to deal with both.
High praise has to go to the players too. Not a single one had a day off. Really pleased Basara got MoM. His goals and performance level in recent weeks has rocketed.
The Defence were immense. We all know how classy Owen is and he was again. The D have been reduced to a small pack and maybe don't gave the best pedigree, but they are becoming the hounds from hell. Wolfing up minutes and go after everything thrown at them.
And there is nothing agricultural about the Bul and Gauts partnership! They have simply owned the ice this weekend.
I take no pleasure in hearing about any player being injured. We have spent the last couple of months watching teams roll up here and look to injure our players with little or no protection from the authorities. If Lee has a broken jaw, I sincerely hope he is gets better and back on the ice soon.
Refereeing was better. I thought they got the first OT goal right and although they missed a few, it was a far better performance from the stripeys.
There have been times when the Flyers have been too hot to handle this weekend. Keep it going for the next few weeks please!

I wonder what DOPeS will make of the Rissling incident? He clearly thrust Bari’s head into the ice while Bari was lying on the ice, a really dangerous thing to do and he was rightly ejected from the game....But wait a minute, the play offs are coming up and they will do everything in their power to ensure the Panthers make POFW so it will be a deafening silence from that corrupt lot once again!

I dont like seeing players in any sport getting injuried either but if you go looking for it you have to take what comes, same thing happened to a Hull player number of years back when he picked a fight with Tommy Muir, Flyers players are no soft touch but that is what some think in this league
