Following Fans Forum with Directors last Tuesday We should be signing The Goat for next season The guy has been different class this season We say it every season but it never happens. We will loose the goat this year for sure as he will be head hunted and we cannot compete with the offers he will receive. Directors please venture like back in 84/85 The goat could have went for more money this year..it's not about that for him..he came back cos he was treated well and was happy here ..a real novelty in today's game

He may have come back this year but next season i doubt he will....

Goat hammers a steeler and the roof comes of well no really but one of the biggest cheers in a long time that’s for sure. They stood their ground for once didn’t take stupid penalties and blocked a ton of shots. That was a terrific performance that should have been on view 5 months ago. Jordan Buesa take a bow kid you where in so many Steelers heads tonight. Cracking game from the young lad. Gutted for Morrison’s yo miss the SO he played so calm all night long. To late in the day but my god it feels good leaving the rink buzzing again after that. Yup, his best moment in 1st with Sandstrom, where Sandstrom was clearly going to bump Morrison or at least get in his grill and Buesa out muscled him to take him down in a heap. A play like that is every bit if not more important than what he does at the other end but agreed his overall game tonight and to be fair last 2-3 games (ever since his old man had a rant on the old social media - some people shouldn't even have crayons) have been very decent. Back to back home wins for the 1st time since September. The result tonight unlikely to change much on how the season is going to finish but if they can take that game into their final ten games then they should be able to create some havoc for the others who have something on the line.

Just one final thought from me on this game. The goats reaction and his teammates after his fight. Bloody brilliant.
Don’t actually want one of our best players doing that to often but even Sidney Crosby fights from time to time.
If we convince him to resign next season he better get the C on his jersey.

He appears to be one of the quietest on the team - not C material from where I am sitting. I get that he's top point scorer, can but doesn't always play a physical game and yes he's almost money in any fighting situation. All good stuff. He's not been consistent this year which for someone with his ability is every bit as alarming as for those who clearly can't cut it and haven't cut it. Just my thoughts, I guess I don't share the man crush many have on the Goat. I've kinda changed my opinion on having him back and I would be happy to have him back especially if as what Dirty says he wants to be here and it's not just about the money for him.

Goat is a hockey player and a great one..but I don't think he would be comfortable wearing the C ..he just loves playing his game. Cazzola would be my captain.

I played under nuts ones quiet ones example setting ones. They all did the job in their own way. Goat drives the play more than most is physical when allowed to be (Dutes has a huge part to play in stopping his natural game imo) and is our top scorer. Not sure what more you can expect from him in what has been an awful season for this team. No man crush from me but I do recognise a good player and he leads this team far more than our current C!

I told you what I want - consistency If you are telling me there haven't been games where he has taken the night off then fine - not how I see it and the fact that others have also taken the night off is irrelevant when discussing individuals. I've seen people say he has carried the team on his back this season - no he hasn't. Top point scorer on a poor team, yes he's a much better option as C than our current one but then again he's appears to be a poor fit in that role but again not a reason to give #78 the C. He could do more and if he came back next year I would be expecting more. I'm never pleased though.

Report on the game on the Steelers website is hilarious - Gaultiers fight because Sheffield goalie got bumped !!! - I think not. It was cazzola was crosschecked, with some force/speed into the goal. I thought he'd maybe hit his head on the post when I saw it happen 1st.

It's those Orange tinted glasses that causes the confusion, we were live at the game and saw who the instigators were, the Russian guy started with the Goat and i'm fairly sure he regretted it as what seemed like a piston was raining down on him at some rate of knots. Some effort by Flyers last night but as the coach has stated where has this level been all season, pleased to see the Brits were on top form all night, perhaps they will get the famous Green Light for the rest of the campaign including young Jamieson now.

A couple of weeks ago, in the defeat against Coventry, I said that I would happily see 6-7 players back. A rested Goats would definitely be one of those. The key word here is rested. I think Goats has not been the player he was in previous seasons and I would put that down to continually playing. He was helped by Brett Bulmer last season in what was possibly one of the best forward lines in the league. So good only DOPS could stop them.
A fit again Chase Schaber, like the one we saw last night is also a must return in my eyes. He led a line that shot on sight and on another night would have scored more.
Some of the passing was outrageous. At the end of a power play in the 2nd there was a series of passes that I think found Finucci at the back post, that was on a different level. Carlo also is one I would lock in a cupboard till he signed.
My man of the match though was Adam Morrison. The gloved catch at the start of the second would have seen him burned at the stake 400 years ago for sorcery. That was unbelievable but everything else he made look routine. The most potent attack in the league were hushed by him. Was last night his best game for the Flyers? Not sure, but I thought Andy Iles was brilliant, Morrison might just be even better.
