There really needs to be an overhaul of the fixture scheduling, it makes the league look very amateurish at best. To have 6 games left in a 54 game season and you still have to visit Belfast 3 times beggars belief. By the way I would be saying exactly the same thing if we had to visit Belfast 3 times in the first 6 games of the season. Also I don’t have a problem playing a double header in Belfast as it saves money on travelling costs, so this is in no way aimed at the fact it makes it a tough run in for us, but surely games can be better spread out throughout the season?

Agree the fixture scheduling is a joke and think Tackleberry has got it spot on. I have no doubt that the fixture schedule is built around a small number of teams, who for years have used “arena availability” as a reason for manipulating the fixtures to their advantage. It might just be my paranoia in full flow again of course. Would like to see Flyers taking a stronger approach at the fixture meetings in future. Two out of the last seven fixtures at home is ridiculous.

Another spin, when was the last time Fife had a schedule with so few games in the run in. 3 of the final 5 weekends playing single games. Often we have had to cram in fixtures and hit the playoffs exhausted. .... unfortunately not an issue this year.

We had some terrific chances to go ahead before they scored, Owen kept us out with a few cracking saves.
