Cheers for the updates, well done to Blair 4 games played 3 MOM's and only just pipped for the forth by a fantastic performance from Casey. Just shows the guy should be on the ice more.
Hard lines though just hope Casey is ok.

Casey is fine. Missed a shift of two at the end of the first but was back after that. Doesn't look like any lasting damage.

Sounds like one of these penalties where someone should have stuck up for Casey and given Limpwright a paggering Who is going to stick up for him? Certainly none of the girls in the team. Never seen it all year,so not likely to happen as someone may get hurt.

Never seen it all year,so not likely to happen as someone may get hurt. Usually I think Jason would have got involved. Thing is, when Casey got hit that put us on a 5 on 3. Would have been foolish for him to take an instigator penalty to wash that out. But in general you're right - we do get bullied too much and there's been plenty other times a good pasting should have been dished out by one of our players.

Who are we kidding, as long as Todd is in charge of this team, we will always get pushed around. We have some of the highest penalized players in the league, but one of the lowest amount of fights, let the players take out their frustrations with a good old dust up instead of chirping at the ref and taking cheap retaliation penalties, and most of all get the crowd pumped up and new spectators in.

Quite a few Sheffield fans have said we are the worst team they have seen this season, sounds about right judging by our away form.
Not sure why we were so bad. It was either;
a) simply outclassed b) had a "we're never going to win this" so didn't bother trying attitude c) we've been plagued with injuries lately so maybe we wanted to get out of this without injuries
Or maybe it was a combination of all 3.

Funnily enough, I thought we played at our best once Derek had had his fight.

Our trouble is the players that we have with an appetite for a fight is JP our first line goal scorer,McAlpine broken collar bone and Tommy who dosent want benched,Danny can fight but as a coach he has to follow the rules laid down by the club. Look at the stats from the Coventry game last night ye fighting pays dosn't it? We are carrying injuries at the moment and we have just got 11 Imports for first time,the last thing we need is more suspensions or injuries.Does anybody seriously think we were going to come away with 4 points this weekend? Damage limitation at this stage of the season with the target of play offs and the Gardiner confrence which are not going to be achived with suspensions or injuries. What i would say is next season we need the likes of a Colt King type who can put the puck in the net and carries a presence on the ice opposition know he will come to the door if they knock hard enough.This is a must if we want our away form to improve next season,not goons like Hand or Olson though.

Don't think anyone is asking for a goon. What we do need however is to protect our key players and not allow teams to take liberties with them.

Seems to be a lot of thinking that Jason likes a scrap but I've not seen any evidence of this, yes he looks like he may to sometimes but has he dropped the gloves yet?
That is now 3 out of 4 games the opposition have targeted Haines since his return and no one has stepped up and done some thing about it, we are the only team in the league that would let that happen!

Go to You tube and type in Jason Pitton Fights,hes battled with the best of them,but not at Flyers,he got fired up at Dundee prior to x-mas and cry baby Hutchins reported him to EIHL and subsequantly band for 3 games. Crime dosen't pay as they say!!

Crime dosen't pay as they say!! the 3 game ban was for a sucker punch, I've no problem with that. However there have been times where he should just drop the gloves and take a 5 minute. Good example was the last home game against Dundee where Hutchins was targeting Casey, for me someone should have just stepped up to him and gave him a beaten. What happened though, Jason took a silly penalty that sees him leave the game.
