Please can someone explain why it was a penalty shot ? with 10 seconds to go it seems ao Fixed ! or should i say Bias !! I hate the ref even more than our usual drivel !!! Dislodging the nets in the last 2 minutes is a penalty shot. We got shafted for it in Nottingham in Season 1, when Tommy Muir was shoved into the nets and Darnell called a PS. Seems the ref's like to hide behind their "abuse of official" calls.

Matts penalty was actually a match for obscene gesture not for spitting

Lukacevic game misconduct abuse of official. DaCosta 10+game misconduct abuse of official. Nickerson match penalty for spitting. All at 62:12 Edit: according to game sheet on Elite website Nickerson match penalty was for obscene gesture rather than spitting Well done lads, nice selfish plays there

Say what you like about Smiths refereeing tonight but that's a stupid way to end up two imports down for one of our biggest games of the season.

Rules question- why was Roehl still sitting in the penalty box at the start of OT when Cardiff had scored on the pp? Ref **** up or something to do with it being a penalty shot? Wasn't Roehl's penalty separate from the PS? I thought the PS was for the nets being dislodged? It was. If a player is serving an earlier penalty I didn't think he came out of the box if the opponents score on a penalty shot?

I guess they think it's ok when the associate coach gets tossed for abuse just as OT starts. Smith's a c*** ref, but why do the hard work and then mouth off at him? Celebrate the win and move on to Tuesday!

Surely Moray couldn't give anyone a ban for making obscene gestures?!? In the early eighties he routinely made obscene gestures at the end of every Flyers/Racers match. At that point in time, I didn't even know what they meant - but I definitely knew he enraged the Fife fans.
Pot? Kettle?

A match is an automatic one game ban and subject to increase on review, our only hope is an appeal if footage shows smith over reacted

Ok, so a PS doesn't count as a pp goal, because there's been another infringement to cause the PS. Fair enough- a bit like scoring on the pp when the ref has his hand up for another pen. Every day's a school day!

I know the ban is automatic but surely Hanson couldn't be hypocritical enough to increase it bearing in mind his own history in that department. He must know that people remember him as a player.
