Telford Tigers of the EPL announced that they were now affiliated with the Utah Grizzlies of the ECHL. What do you all think and should Fife try this out?

What do they gain from this?
Is it even something the Flyers could get involved with if they wanted to? It looks like Telford are in a unique situation here due to having the same owner of both teams.

However, his company, Red Touch Media, is based in Utah, thus has strong links.

It looks like Telford are in a unique situation here due to having the same owner of both teams. Players & staff from the Grizzlies will come over to the UK during the summer to help train the local Telford kids in their new youth academy. In addition, at least a handful of Tigers players have signed all year round contracts on the condition they also coach kids in the academy during the off-season. Staff from Utah will also provide advice & ideas on how to further market the team, it potentially can also offer a direct route to the ECHL via Telford for British players, and vice versa for any EU passport holding players of the Grizzlies that fancy playing in Europe. Though the deal is mostly focused on the youth training & marketing aspects.

Steeldogs have announced a 5 year title sponsorship deal. Seems it's not just Telford on the up.

In fairness Legue is settled in Sheffield with his family and doesn't want to play Elite hockey anymore do it make sense for him to sign a multi year deal. it's not like he's a new player to the country signed on a 3 year contract once we get new guys to the league signed on multi year contracts that are worth the paper they are written on we will be a league on the up.

There have been numerous contracts for 2 years in the EPL recently that have been worth the paper they're written on. We had Schnabel on a 2 year deal, Telford have 4 players on multi-year, 12 month contracts (i.e. still working during the off-season in academy) and Longstaff is on a multi-year deal in Guildford, also being honoured.

maybe fife can give Mo a call and see what they can come up with, worth a try at least I would say, if we have the money and drive to take the team in that direction.

Knowing our luck it would be Andy Contois on a 3 year deal!
