Wasn't at the game either but as it was a match penalty the review is automatic. These announcements are a good idea though as it means everyone is aware if and when a review will take place, unlike last season where announcements seemed to be made at random times and sometimes at the last minute.

As is mentioned in the game thread, this is automatic as a Match penalty was called.
Didn't see it as it was at the boards on the side where the Flyers fans sit, in the Flyers D zone so down and to our left so for me it was impossible to tell if it was bad or not but Dickin, who got hit, got up and skated to the Caps bench on his own afterwards and was back out for the next shift and played the rest of the game

Looked like he cranked him head first into the boards by hitting him square in the numbers, lost the last bit of the play as it was close to the boards on our side as Harlan said.
Dumb hit and regardless of how quickly the player gets up or if he stays in the game that type of hit should get any player thrown out the game. TJ will be lucky if it remains at just the one game resulting from the match given on Sunday.
I assume DOPS will have a video and explanation being put out following the decision on Wednesday.

The DoPS video will be the first chance most people get to see the hit, I don't think for a minute that TJ went in to hurt the guy. Might just be one of those hits where the guy wasn't expecting it or never saw it coming. It'll come done to whether or not it was a legal check, if he's hit him on the numbers as some have suggested then the outcome will be straight forward. I hope for everyone's sake that the video footage is clear and unambiguous, although I'm sure the decision will provoke more debate either way, but at least we will have seen it by then.

Just watched the video, Its quite a nasty check from behind But TJ seems to realise straight away as he puts his hand up as a way of an apology.
PS I thought it was Rutherford that was hit not King as it say's in the video?

Wasn't the worst hit I've ever seen but he did take the boy into the boards and could have hurt him.

Fair enough TJ did the crime now he has to pay the time DOPS have come down hard here setting out their stall as a warning to all. 1 game would have been correct call It will be interesting to see what follows when its the establishment teams players turns. Hopefully a level of consistency will be demonstrated
