Yup Tam relies on the people that will put up with whatever mince he serves up every year because he knows they'll blindly turn up every week regardless, 2 years ago I stopped going for 2/3 months and if nothing changes in next couples weeks that will be me for a while again

I'm all for supporting the team etc but they have to give us something back, other than this guff they manage to pass as hockey to us every week
You cannot expect fans to be behind a team all season long with poor results and even lower standards, regardless what sport it is. The "Happy Clappers" can keep wearing their blinkers but the vast majority have our eyes wide open
I will, and always have supported they Flyers team, I'm entitled (as is everyone) to voice my opinion, and I am not voicing it to try to persuade anyone to think they way I think or see things. I have lost faith in Todd, about 3 seasons ago, but have each time said to myself after a few good results, that he seems to have steadied the ship. All teams go through bad and good patches but we are consistantly having the same usual good and bad spells and have been for the past 3 seasons! We, as fans, should not have to keep settling for scraping into the playoff's each year and kidd ourselves on we are improving, we are VERY minutley in terms of results, but we are backpeddling so fast and are light years behind most teams in this league. Now I can speak for everyone who has similar views of mine, that we are not demanding or expecting the Flyers to challenge for the league title every year, (out our depth I'm afraid) but would like to go into each game with the "we can win this" attitude. I would love to see us fighting for trophies every year, regardless if its a challenge cup run, the conference etc, thats not too much to ask or excpect is it? The only time I have ever felt confident of the Flyers winning anything was our 1st playoff finals weekend appearance, we went on an epic win streak and were beating anyone we faced, and in the end just came short in a 1-0 game which could have went either way, ever since then, nothing. Even last year when Braehead pipped us to the conference, that was our own undoing not winning games we should have won, we could have had the conference won before the word tie-breaker was even mentioned
So back to the topic at hand, Yes I will continue to support the Flyers, and Yes I will still attend the games when I can, as I love to watch ice hockey and the team I support and refuse to watch any other team in this league by choice, and Yes I will continue to voice my own opinion on this forum and at the games also. Not trying to change anyone else's point of view, be a happy clapper or a moaner all you want, but my thoughts and opinions are final - Todd, yer times up pal

Bear spot on There are serious things not working at the fia Poor recruitment. Never had a balanced team in the EIHL Match night atmosphere. - never replaced Craig. We are shambolic in comparison with the top teams Junior development. Many years ago we were best in U.K. At thus now we are so drunk off the pace it is embarrassing
I reckon our budget is reasonable in this league but as a hockey town not delivering value.

Junior development. Many years ago we were best in U.K. At thus now we are so drunk off the pace it is embarrassing Sorry but our junior development is still one of the best in the country, our junior trophy cabinet is bursting at the seams with all ages winning leagues and cups season after season. We have some excellent prospects who can and should be part of the flyers NOW.

We can go on like broken records regarding youth players being signed up to the Flyers we can all agree this should have been happening from day 1
Quick question to anyone who regularly attends Kestels games (Or below U20's etc), has anyone seen Todd in the audience? or even any memebr of the coaching staff?
Quick Edit: Remember when Todd said he was going to be working closley to a bunch of youngsters this season, and he mentioned Andy Little? Hmmm

Lets assume Tam does control who Todd signs, I think he does to an extent as he is the one who controls the money and negotiates the contracts. At least he always has done in previous years. That comes from a few ex players before anyone jumps on me.
Lets also assume he dictates the type of team we have. No enforcer only skill players.
Lets also assume he stops better brits coming in because he wont pay for them Craig Moore Sam McCluskey John Dolan Ben Davies etc etc. Lets say he refuses to put local guys on fulltime contracts both established and prospects.
I don't want Todd as the coach as I don't think he is good enough at this level with his systems, game management and tactics but assuming all of the above is correct who the hell would stay and work with these restrictions and take all the flack from folk like me on this forum and across social media.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion regarding the Flyers, good or bad, but what I cannot understand is the attitude of those who stop supporting the team. Surely the time to stand by your team is when thing are tough.
Thankfully, there are enough of us who remember the days when there were a couple of hundred at games and we dont want to return to that scenario. Fans keep turning up and tha t means we can stay in the Elite League.

We all know Tam does not want to be in the EIHL but there is nowhere else to go at the moment and the only saving grace for Flyers I think is he would not like the team to fold under his watch.
If Todd has all the restrictions Waterboy has suggested then in my opinion he is even less use than I previously thought, what self respecting coach would work with that boot on your head.

No one stops supporting the team but people will stop going to games because we pay £16 and have been getting done this season, and most of the time we've spent in the elite league.

There is a lot of things at my work I would like to change, but my boss is my boss so I can't, I could leave yes but I would not pick up my pretty decent wage which provides a quality of life elsewhere, put yourself in his shoes.

I wouldn't do that job under those type of conditions because I would not have signed up for them in the first place.

This is all hear say at the minute though, I believe there's blame on both Todd and Muir, Todds in game coaching looks woeful, and reverts to dump and chase constantly, if Tam recruits the players, then that's terrible also, regardless of whose doing what, the recruitment and the coaching is way below par. Ideally we need someone to buy the flyers, that's never going to happen though.

It would be daft for Flyers to leave the EIHL. They have huge potential and we are getting top level teams coming to Fife. The crowds would dip significantly if we moved to a BNL type set up. You would then have the likes of Scoon playing on the first line.. I certainly wouldn't be going along to the watch that level of hockey.
