It would be daft for Flyers to leave the EIHL. They have huge potential and we are getting top level teams coming to Fife. The crowds would dip significantly if we moved to a BNL type set up. You would then have the likes of Scoon playing on the first line.. I certainly wouldn't be going along to the watch that level of hockey. Why would scoon be on the first line? The BNL type league that has been hinted at by ice hockey U.K. Is more like an expansion of the epihl to include Scottish and northern English teams. The epihl teams can have 4 imports as well as dual nats look at the rosters of some sides they have 6/7 imports so I can't see how in that scenario scoon would jump to the first line. Although I would rather stay in the EIHL it would be a option I think tam would seriously consider as it would require the use of more home grown Brits mixed with a core of experienced imports. Pretty much tams philosophy when it comes to the flyers.

No young guys given a chance, and let 3 or 4 walk out the door and go play elsewhere, his philosophy is to be a tight %##% and play the locals... if they'll take the pennies

Everyone is entitled to their opinion regarding the Flyers, good or bad, but what I cannot understand is the attitude of those who stop supporting the team. Surely the time to stand by your team is when thing are tough. Thankfully, there are enough of us who remember the days when there were a couple of hundred at games and we dont want to return to that scenario. Fans keep turning up and tha t means we can stay in the Elite League. Not suggesting this is aimed at me but I will give you my Flyers history. I have been supporting/watching the flyers since my first game 84/85. I have gone to most rinks across the country supporting them. Wembley every year it was on since my first trip in 88. The heartbreak of being at the Norwich Union cup final in 86. Sat through season 90-91 when we got relegated and then some awful games as we marched through Div 1 back into the premier. Milton Keynes Kings and Icing the puck . Who could forget being in the Summit centre for the second leg of the promotion relegation play off against Ayr. Gog's end to end goal!!!! Amazing stuff. I sat through a season of poor hockey when the ISL started and the Flyers had to find their feet in the Northern league etc only to move into the BNL days and finally some real success in league and playoffs even a Grand Slam or 2. SNL days nope wasn't there as was to busy playing in it. Became a regular again once the EIHL started up in Fife and endured Season 1 as we won 8 games all season long. Since then we have all know what's happened the past 4/5 seasons the last one and now this one with the hockey being poor. Not winning I can take watching (import) players not give a stuff I cant. I have spent god knows how much money on the club over the last 3 decades not to mention all the other members of my family that have attended games during the same time. I did try and get my kids involved but you they were simply bored and wanted to go home early each time they went. Bored at the hockey seems like a joke to say that but how many fans are on their phones during games. I have supported this club through the good and the bad several times over in fact. Now I want to enjoy my hockey and be entertained, this season just like last that rarely happens. The club can get my money but if I don't enjoy going why would I still do it I like so many others simply wont bother unless the club makes changes. I don't see Moaners on this forum I see passionate fans who care deeply about this club and they realise that it could really challenge the top clubs in the EIHL. Fife have been stuck behind the times for years in how they do things (social media-free advertising). You simply cant get away with that with a vast majority of fans in this day. This summer the club has been a PR nightmare and again its because they don't see a need for it. Compare that to the Steelers or the Storm and you see that we are miles behind these clubs. As a fan that is disappointing and frustrating. This club/team has huge potential and many see it. If the only the owners were amongst that number!

The reason Is probably part financial but I don't think it's as straight forward as just being tight. As for guys not getting ice time well that's Todd call not tams, what does surprise me though is that tam continues to fork out cash paying guys he knows Todd won't play.

I know which business I would rather have Flyers in NIHL or EIHL......it's a no brainer, had Todd been involved in junior development before or since the EIHL he may have brought through players but he didn't and that's another reason he should be shown the door, I know juniors & Flyers are 2 different entities but that hasn't stopped locals going onto other EIHL clubs and being a success whilst Flyers are left in the cold with little or no ambition for young lads wanting to be on their plank / roster.

Me and a mate were just discussing him, was absolute class at Belfast. The type of signing we should be making, I fear he may well be out of our range though...

Good stats but we already have plenty dwarfs we need big physical guys .i think one of the problems we have is when scouting forwards is we look at the individual and not the actually type off line mate they play with to actually get the best out of them
