Money is not a problem with the current attendance figures I have been told.
On the subject of established non Fife born British players, they do not wish to come to Kirkcaldy because they want to be at a club that win things, my gripe with that fact is we should not be in the position of needing them in the first place.

correct Ronnie, our own brits should be good enough to earn a spot, but the fact that they ain't is worrying and the other fact is we have good talented brits on the bench but will be ruined as they will not get enough ice time. how are they suppose to get better if they don't get ice time, and the other fact is beattie played every week for the caps they boy has plenty of experience in the league

Money is a big problem at the moment, the director is cutting back in every corner he can. The low crowds have taken him by surprise, unfortunately those whose advice he listens to, are still of the opinion "it's Fife" the fans will always come, despite the evidence in front of his eyes of the tumbling crowds.

Ask any EX employee's, they'll tell you exactly what's going on. People must be mad to think there not making money with current crowd numbers

It's unfortunate that our best team in the EIHL is attracting such relatively poor crowds, this is the slow burn reaction to two or three seasons of dour campaigns.
I hope that things will pick up as we play our games in hand and hopefully climb up the league ladder. We'll be more attractive draw for the punters sitting near the top of the table.

It’s probably off the back off last season being dross to watch, this team aren’t exciting, there’s nothing really stands out about them except they just keep it tight, work hard and grind it out regardless of the opponent, it isn’t great to watch and it’s not the style of hockey that engages new fans, and still people will look and go “look mid table boring hockey again” that’s the harsh reality of it, I’m pretty sure most of this forum go every week and have done for years regardless though and now even the most serial off complainers have stopped writing this team off and are getting firmly behind them, even if that does include Stockton and Finnucci!!

Much as I am not a fan of Todd Hockey you have to give credit where it's due, I feel this team are punching above their weight at times and deserve at least one further player in the fold to ease any pressure due to injuries that will be already in place or due to happen, there is no question in my mind that the club can well afford the luxury.

Re discussion of team. This year we dont have any primma donnas, the team plays for each other and must prove a difficult problem to oppo coasches, as who do you mark out of a game to stifle our offence? Checking the EIHL stats shows this. How many of his critics know that Carlo Finucci is our equal top points scorer in league games? Gauthier 30 pts, Schaber 30 pts, Finucci 30 pts, Heelis 30 pts, Le Blanc 27 pts and then Bloodoff 25 pts (but top scorer with 16 goals). Then Young 22 pts (9 goals), Stockton 20 pts (11 goals), Birzins 18 pts, Moyer 14 pts, Jorgensen 13 pts, Issaacs 11 pts, Mosey 10 pts. I agree that we could do with an extra import though. Storm rested an import yesterday to play Auger and Steelers have brought in injury cover for Walker. Iles and Marr are good goalies and Flyers have conceded less goals than any other team.

Finucci has been quietly going about his business this season making unreal plays and grafti. still though not getting much recognition after some of the new boys had such hot starts to the season. One thing people just don’t understand is he is doing it on a third line and playing with a defensman as forward in isaacs. Nothing against isaacs awesome grafter and gets stuck in but imagine a right winger on that line that has a forwards scoring touch or play making ability??? Finucci is big part of the top special teams we have this season, as with the rest of the boys who are doing a superb job in those departments. As you said very hard to shut a certain line down as the other two lines can hurt you as well and that’s a big reason for this teams succwss I believe! This lot definitely plays for each other and someone seems to step up on any given night and carry the team. Long may it last!
