One of my best Flyers memories is a game in the 60's against the Polish National side. It's mentioned in the Flyers' history section of the website. I was talking about the game with my Dad (now in his 80's) over the Holiday. I remember a fantastic atmosphere and I'm fairly certain Poland won 5-3. I've Googled a bit for the details but I can't find anything. Does anyone have teams and statistics for the game, or even a scanned programme, so we can clarify our memories of the day? Thanks in advance.

I've tried to contact the Flyers but the email keeps bouncing back. We'll probably have more luck with the Polish IHA. I hadn't thought of it.

That was a long time ago, I remember that game. I seem to remember we got beat 6-1 maybe? Im sure it was a case of the Polish Team doing aEuropean tour and Flyers being the only club in the UK capable of representing the whole Country. Team members then, well, one of my favourites of all time = Bill Sneddon, Jimmy Spence might have been in the same team then, Verne Greger for sure. Those were the days when Fife Flyers were unbeatable by other UK clubs

So, that's three people remember the game and three different scores! I thought 5-3, my Dad thought 5-2 and you're thinking 6-1. Perhaps we'll all be wrong? Bill Sneddon was a hero of mine along with Roy Reid. I was still at Primary School when this game took place. I'm thinking 1964-1966. It was certainly a time when you went to the Ice Rink expecting Flyers to win. There was only really Wembley Lions gave them a game. Perhaps those days will return?
