So with people on about 3 or 4 line hockey, o spoke with Paul Thompson the year he coached Aalborg and I asked him about the difference between the young kids he was coaching and the brits over here.
He told me they are taught from an early age possibly under 10, strength, conditioning, nutrition and building a strong a core so by the time there late teens early 20's making to level below senior or senior level they are big and strong enough to cope so why are our coaches not doing this we could easily have been playing 4 line hockey with big enough and strong enough brits

There is a video on flyers YouTube page of an interview with PT and he talks about that. It’s not icetime coaching or anything other than strength and conditioning. I remember a guy coming into our team who was fitter and stronger than anyone in the league and he just dominated games. He was a good player but far from the best skill set. His conditioning and strength just made him pretty much unplayable.

Go to the gym or society is their choice. The 4 lube hockey you are on about is only available if they slip into this routine

If your coaching staff and management team set out ground rules from day 1 and then police those rules with fines and p45's then players will tow the line. Unfortunately in Fife it appears not to be managed and players are allowed to rule themselves. We don't have sports therapists, nutritionalists or fitness instructors in this club and the players don't have a routine, so they only do/make it look like they are doing it. I believe they had a routine and rules 2 years ago when Moyer, Heelis & Jorgensen was here and you could see the difference in them. Unfortunately that has vanished last year after the one season wonder of the previous year, along with the silverware.
