Wow not good enough for any ice time at Flyers (his home team he would love to play for) but Clan take him happily - a GB under 20 International.
That really does take the biscuit and i honestly hope he scores when he comes to Fife.

Our club really are a total disgrace eh! Shambolic from top to bottom.
Good luck to the kid, get some ice time and chance to develop where he should be with his local team.
Guy will be miles better off than staying in Kirkcaldy.
I'm with you I hope he scores on their next visit to get it right up those that didnt give him and the rest of the brits a chance!

A few Clan fans were hoping the Chadster would sign in at Braehead. Good bit of business.

Have I missed something here..our top prospect ??, He has went to Clan..so what, Buesa and Mackenzie came here, Chad has proved nothing yet, if he goes there and gets a regular shift and puts up numbers then we can shout and scream in indignation, everyone said the same when Plews went to Edinburgh, and he ended up playing at his level in nihl. Shambles...what for not playing a player who was not better than those who were getting a shift. Let's be clear about this..Clan struggling with 3 or 4 imports injured..they see Chad as a cheap player untill they get them back...then let's see if he gets regular ice..at the end of the season he will be on the move again.

DL...Lets be clear about this to use your words, Chad left Flyers for obvious reasons, your thoughts are he will not get ice time when Clan are back to full strength.....he didn't get ice time at Kirkcaldy when Flyers were similar numbers of imports down year on year with the squad dead on their feet .....TD is not a Brit lover in the slightest and it's well past his time to go.

I do think it's time for a coaching change as the club has went stale...but not convinced that Chad going to clan I'd the disaster it's being made out to be..clan fans hailing a great signing, how often they seen him play, I'm not convinced that he will get any more ice time than here..the season before we signed Buesa he was picking splinters out his ****, and in my opinion is a better player. Todd just did not fancy Smith as a player ..it happens.

Well done Chad, good for you! Hopefully you will be developed in Glasgow, because the development coach never developed you!
DL from what I'm hearing we should be worrying about how long our other 2 fit brits hang around. Rumours are rife McKenzie isn't happy and Buesa being touted by a southern club. The problem with the club lies within the dressing room walls. The fact the players clearly aren't playing for a certain coach and you can see that every time he opens his mouth on the bench, the team was so much better when he was suspended!

Todd /Brits are two words that should not be in the same sentence .....Bari & Jordan are even testament to that despite having a few mediocre imports in the side who have been listed awol in a few games already this season, it boils your proverbial when TD compliments the same players in those games, the bulk of supporters think he must have been talking about a different fixture than they just witnessed.....perhaps if he was a paying fan he would see the other side of the coin.

Not really our top prospect though is he? What is he 19/20? Quite small and lightweight to play in this league, never really proved himself, didn’t make that spot his own when he did get some chances, listen I want Todd out as much as anyone but Smith opting to leave because he wasn’t getting ice time isn’t really 1 of Todd’s worst decisions, is he better than McKenzie or Buesa? No. he wasn’t playing because he’s never showed he was good enough, now will he move on, improve and become a regular in the league? Guess we’ll see, and good luck to the kid. And by the way the only way we will ever see our best youngsters coming through is when they move down south to the NIHL etc at the age of 16/17 and get some time in a better league than the SNL then come back to fife, basically they need a link with a southern team to loan youngsters too.

I can't understand why we would go in to league and not make sure we had Brits developing and ready for the elite league, nae why bother lets just let them ride the pine then they will leave or ship them out. If the club even remotely bothered about they would be developing them to play elite simple

I just don't get the indignation, you claim to have watched flyers for years, then you will have watched Davie Smith, John Haig,Bobby Haig, Deano, Steven Lynch, Plewsy, Derek King...to name but a few all leave and in some cases come back throughout the years...hockey players move around wether it be for a better opportunity, more money, work reasons etc.. all the time, it's sport. He is not getting a game here so he is moving to a team short on bodies through injury to try get an opportunity, just like other players have come here for..good move for him in my opinion, but this is nothing new.

Yeah i saw them play but they played alongside 3 to 5 quality imports every night and they all played minutes which made them better players what is the point of bringing young guys up if they have no intention of giving them the minutes they need to develop its pointless. I do agree we need a feeder team in the nihl so some of these guys can go there and become better then if they want to play elite for Fife they will have a better chance of getting a chance

Its pretty simple for me, nobody can name a local British player who has left the club and continuously went on to play in the league. Maybe start asking why Dutes doesnt give them ice time. There are clearly opportunities for british players at this club, IF they are good enough. Look at Sam Jones who walked in from nowhere and is in our top 4 defenceman.

Flyers missed a trick all those years ago when they were invited to join the superleague as it was then as we had the brits who could have competed every night the Kings robbo haigy smithy Sammy and then you would have had a conveyor system off brits coming through every season and ready for the step up to the big boys league
