I thought Todd was very hypocritical in his latest interview regards players sticking up for team mates. Well done to Gutwald facing up to Pelech you just know he will be more respected at FIA now.

My concern is consistancy, last night there was no call on the elbow by Pelech, no hands were raised by the stripeys at the time of the incident it was only announced after the altercation happened, perhaps one or both of the linos brought it to attention and the correct call given ..... scary when the ref had an uninterrupted view of the original incident from a few feet. If DOPS are consistent Pelech should get a two game ban at least today considering that's what Gauthier got (in record time) after review from the Dundee game with no call on the play. The other guy..not Copeland had his hand up for the Pelech elbow. Copeland who had an uninterrupted view never..Copeland done us over in Cardiff a few weeks ago, and last night with 2 soft penalties giving Belfast the breakthrough they were looking for...I would like to know what level he officiated at over in Canada and if that justified getting a referees spot immediately over here, believe it was the Cardiff owners who arranged it. Agreed I thought Elliot had his hand up for the check to the head but was starting to doubt myself with the amount of folk who didn’t see him raising his arm.

Elliot did have his arm up, but it was late - reacting to th crowds reaction? - before Gutwald/Pelech started.

Problem for me is one official raises his arm for a penalty but he is sometimes at the other end of the ice from where the play is so no-one, including players, has a clue that a pen has been called. Is there not a case for having the second ref, closer to the play, also raising his arm to reinforce the call and keep everyone in the loop?

As far as I could see he combined a career in agricultural sales with officiating in the Western Hockey League, a junior hockey league in Canada (U20). No info if he reffed or was a lino or what standard he was achieving. I wouldn't buy a tractor from him!

The interference call on Isaac's was a total joke

In recent weeks both Sheffield and Manchester's head coaches have had post game meltdowns in the interviews where they laid the blame for their losses with the refs.
Can't see if any action has been taken on this. Have I missed something?

Can't see if any action has been taken on this. Have I missed something? Of course you haven't missed anything. It's been happening for years and it can only be assumed that the establishment clearly wish to offer no support for Scottish refs. You had Corey Neilsen at the last play off final weekend at a fans forum stand on stage and tell the whole room that "you know you are screwed at FIA before you even got off the bus in the car park. The fans go berserk and the refs call everything". Yeah if only it were that easy, I've been trying that for seasons but it doesn't work. Every team in the league knows they are gonna get it tighter in some rinks than others, the smart ones play the game the right way, the dumb ones whine at the end to create a smoke screen for inadequacies on the ice and on their bench. What's the saying, control what you can control .

Thanks Rossco. It is a very strange league set up. Say what you want about TD but the dignity the man conducts himself with, compared to many of the others, puts them to a shame they dont even realise is there.
