Fair play to McKenzie for his effort. Im not sure if he's a positive or negative in this Flyers team though. He is very naive and takes far too many needless penalties which is a hindrance to us. I think you will find the players with limited talent or couldn't give a toss are a hinderance to us. If every player played with the effort that Bari puts in it may be a different season.

Schaber didn't do great giving the puck away for their third but he received a rubbish pass with Storm players almost right on him. No real criticism of Schaber as he worked hard but is far from fit. He's been unfit or injured for a long long time. Misplaced loyalty bringing him back this season I think.

I thought we started the game really well and had Storm on the back foot for the first 10 mins in which time Finucci scored with a wrap around. For the next ten minutes we lost our way and Storm capitalised with 2 goals that they didn’t have to work too hard for. The second period was much ado about nothing with plenty of endeavour but no quality. We were a bit better in the 3rd and got a well deserved equaliser from a screened Emmerdahl wrist shot........did I just say that, screened!!!. We then managed to kill a Storm 4 minute PP without much fuss only for Storm to go in front soon after when Schaber tried to cut inside his man but left the puck behind, even then there didn’t seem to be too much trouble from a speculative wrist shot from wide but Morrison got his angles wrong and was slow to get his blocker to the near post. There then followed an almost continuous 6 min power play for us, yes Ginn did pull off one wonder save, but to be honest it was mostly pedestrian stuff. Plenty effort but short on quality in key areas, most notably a blue line playmaker.

One last thought the storms no29 ex NHL draft pick ( 3 games in the show?!?) I have no idea how he is easily the worst skating import I’ve seen in a hell of a long time. Guess the big body works at the storm shelter but the big swede is lost on the big ice.
No29 is the son of Ulf Sammuelson no less.

Perspective, last season we had a 9 game run where we went 1 for 29 , we are now 1 for 27 in last 8 - if I'm being honest though I've been underwhelmed by our PP for many seasons, this group arguably should be failing more on the PP than previous groups but I know that's not what you asked

My take on tonights game is that it was more than a four pointer the winner of which HAD to be Fife Flyers, that result was a dagger in the heart aided by a season long problem noticed very early on ...... no snipers in the team. I thought the guys tried their best tonight and actually deserved a better scoreline however another home loss in such an important fixture should pose serious questions being asked ....... what / where are these changes we were advised about or was that just propoganda to help flagging attendancies, the cause of which are well reported on this forum. Even if Flyers make eighth spot it does not look very good odds to make the Playoff Weekend.

"the wrong people taking the heat " interesting Aye I did wonder if that was him saying it’s not his fault? But not sure who he was meaning is to blame as the directors have taken a lot of stick aswell as him, is he just pointing to the players?
